The memories are endless and only matched by the lessons learned. My teams in Lubbock, Amarillo and Clovis are the reason to celebrate these 4 years. You guys make the communities you serve even better. You provide care for so many beautiful souls. To celebrate these four years. Here are some lessons learned: 1. Most hard decisions are made easier when wearing adorable slippers. My favorite office nickname to date is slippers. 2- When encountering an intense situation don’t handle it in isolation. My team has great ideas, I just have to be intentional at asking good questions. If you feel like you are over-communicating. You are probably just now communicating enough. 3- Plan for fun and always have a pulse on your energy as a leader. I can be intense and I know that about myself so I schedule fun with my team. That looks different everyday and from team to team but that is really where I get to learn about them and they are the most important thing. 4- Protect the culture. It is the foundation of who we are and how we thrive. Here’s to the next year! The best is to come!

I recently made a mistake when celebrating a great month in our company.  We blew away our goal and I wanted to recognize our team. Instead of just congratulating our team for their great accomplishment, I threw in the dreaded "but" at the end of it. "but, next month will most likely be much different." There was no need for me to do this.  I intended to shield them from a possible letdown the following month since we always have a strong January. The "but" was not necessary at that time (and probably not at all). Celebrate your wins.  Recognize the success of your team - the other stuff can wait. A well-informed team already knows of the challenges that may lie ahead and is prepared to handle them. Let celebrating your wins stand on its own.  Do not dilute what your team accomplished. Interestingly, February came and they beat our target for that month as well.....and did it again in March.

The weeks with the biggest wins aren’t what you think they are. They’re the weeks when things absolutely go to sh*t but you don’t dip back to your previous pattern of all or nothing thinking. One of my clients recently had a week where work was crazy, where driving conditions added a bunch of extra stress and commute times, where groceries didn’t get delivered and so on. And how she handled it was so awesome. It’s easy to have a stellar week when everything is going well and life is giving you an easy time. But to dig deep into the skills we’ve worked on, find good answers to the question “What’s my best next choice” and not say “f%*k it” are THE weeks to celebrate. Celebrate those wins. They matter. In fact, they matter the most.

What do you want to celebrate? 🎉 Another week is gone, and with that the first month of the year, have you taken the time to celebrate yourself and your wins, big or small? Here are two ways you can acknowledge your efforts and truly recognize the significant milestones you've achieved without it feeling like a brag:     1️⃣ Reflect & share the journey   Pause and look at how far you've come. Recognize the dedication, resilience, and countless hours of hard work that went into anything that you've set your mind to. Acknowledge and share what you've done so far, the highs and lows. When you see the complete picture, instead of the achievements, you put everything in perspective.       2️⃣ Seek an external point of view   While working hard, it's easy to lose sight of what we've accomplished, we tend to see all the things that still need to be done. Ask your peers, mentors, or coach - they can provide an objective perspective on your achievements. Share your accomplishments with them and ask for honest feedback. Can they see the value and the impact of what you've done?      Celebrating your accomplishments doesn't mean boasting or seeking validation, but recognizing and acknowledging your hard work, building self-confidence, and embracing your growth.       So, pause, reflect, and recognize the remarkable things you've recently accomplished, no matter how big or small.     💜 Share them below and let's celebrate you together!  

Everyday there is a new Business story, like below from Boardroom, involving College Sports. This explosion of opportunity for collegiate athletes is something that I feel like could realistically be described as UNPRECEDENTED. From Caleb Williams to Caitlin Clark, from Shedeur Sanders to Livvy Dunne, from Bronny James to Angel Reese, many athletes are capitalizing on this new market in a big way. Amazing people & entrepreneurs like Jordan Rogers are consulting and helping athletes react and thrive in this new world. Agents and lawyers are getting involved to broker and advise 6-7 digit business deals. For Sports Business students and classes - - What is next for NIL? Is it a bubble that could burst? What are the opportunities for athletes outside of the 10-20 "most valuable"? What are some future careers or roles that are needed in this new "industry" or "sector" of college sports? What advice would you give to athletes as they approach this new world of NIL? Read this headline and my mind went so many places 🤯 Here's 5x thoughts/trends it brought to mind 📝: 1. 🌊 | NIL Opening the Floodgates: It's an exciting time as college athletes finally get the chance to capitalize financially on their stardom & fanbases while also partnering with brands equipped to scale their visibility. DICK'S Sporting Goods is a great example of that and so is Angel Reese's partnership with Reebok 2. 👀 | Brands Capitalizing on College Athlete Attention: Last year, I worked on my first NIL partnership at VaynerMedia with VaynerSports & the University of Michigan's football team. The means by which the brand/client captured attention & market relevance through our media and organic social campaigns was a testament to the platform college stars have. Ayden Syal has been leading in the space with his company MOGL for those interested in learning more. 3. 🤝🏾 | Athletes <> Personal Brands: There's a rising trend of athletes starting their own entities (i.e. clothing, podcasts, production studios etc). This ability to expand their relevance beyond the sports that launched them into the public eye is such a strategic way to pursue other passions while diversifying/generating wealth. The fact that DICK'S Sporting Goods is carrying her clothing line (not just using her likeness) displays true partnership. Kirby Porter has done a great job covering this with New Game Labs 4.📍| Physical Retail Locations Still Matter: I remember distinctly talking about this in my Luxury Retail class with Professor Charles Skuba at Georgetown University. The key takeaway was that brands could totally survive the prevalence of e-commerce by enhancing the retail experience and finding new ways to drive traffic. I'm no expert (I'll leave that to Ebere) but we've seen that hold true. @Angel Reese is a national and local star and her apparel being available at the Baton Rouge location will undoubtedly drive sales & foot traffic, especially in the heat of basketball season. 5. 🏆 | Another Win for Women's Basketball: Need I say more?

Check out our Go>Choose recognition program that is run by the employees of Bish's RV. Here's how it works 👇 When our team sees someone that does something great, or sees someone do something a little extra, they take a "caught ya" card. On that card, they write down who they are and what they did that was awesome and pin it on the board. You can see below that there's a lot of great stuff being done that's getting noticed. This particular Go> Choose board is at our dealer support center, and each of the Bish's RV locations has a board of its own. It's awesome being able to see all in one place how the team is not only serving each other, but how they are going beyond the norm to make a good experience for everyone that walks into a Bish's RV location.

Ask any sales or marketing professional… Launching new products and building new territories is not easy. Over a year ago my husband, Dean Peaple , joined this company to launch a new division of window coverings. Through operations and production challenges, changes in leadership and the minimal marketing support common with ‘startups’ - my husband never gave up! I have watched him be tenacious and creative, using common sense, guerilla tactics, and teamwork- always finding a way. I know the road is long, - and I admire my husbands patience and perseverance. When you work hard and see a reward with a Win like this- you have to celebrate! Most of us are so busy doing the work we do- we forget to take time to celebrate the wins. It’s as easy as 123… 1. Take a moment to reflect on your wins 2. Be proud of your accomplishments, 3. Share your gratitude with those that helped you achieve your goals. Celebrate the Wins!
