Over a decade ago, a personal journey through the challenges of the care sector inspired me to seek change. The founding of Care Campaign for the Vulnerable (CCFTV) was sparked by a vision to implement safety monitoring to protect those who could not protect themselves. From those initial steps to today, our path has been steeped in dedication and transformative insights. It has not been an easy journey, but it has undoubtedly been a fulfilling one. Every step has deepened my understanding and appreciation for the incredible professionals in the care sector. Their unwavering commitment has not only inspired change but has also reshaped our view of what is achievable. We believe, now more than ever, that the care sector can stand as a beacon of safety and transparency. This belief is reinforced by the exemplary dedication of our partners, who have been instrumental in our work . Special mention must be made of Care Protect Ltd and Signature Senior Lifestyle Limited - the first corporate provider to adopt Independant safety monitoring and publicly support our initiative. Their commitment to our cause has helped propel our advocacy to new heights, demonstrating what is possible when compassion and action unite. Care Protect, with their innovative monitoring solutions, ensures safety and dignity for the vulnerable, setting a standard in safeguarding practices. Similarly, Signature Senior Living has exemplified how quality care and operational transparency can coexist, enhancing the lives of residents and reassuring their families. Our efforts and partnerships recently culminated in significant recognition: a front-page feature in Care Home Professional and our role as headline sponsors at the upcoming Leaders in Care conference on May 29th. These accolades are not just ours but belong to every dedicated individual and partner who has joined us on this journey. As we look to the future, we are filled with hope and determination. A Mission People... Celebrate Hospital Week at Baptist Health System We help people achieve health for life through compassionate care inspired by faith. The word “hospital” and “hospice” are derived from the Latin word hospes, which means both “guest” and “host. This history can direct ones thoughts towards hospitality. The word “hospitality” is synonymous with words like… “welcome, friendliness, warmth, generosity, cordiality, sociableness and openness”. Pause a second an consider what is needed for someone in the hospital who experiences being… lost, overwhelmed, out of control, injured, scared, angry, hurt, totally vulnerable. In these cases, hospitality is precisely at the foundation of what is needed to accompany our patients toward healing and wholeness.
