🌟 Embracing Change: Charting a New Course Towards Board Leadership in Housing, Public Health, or Youth Advocacy 🌟 Dear LinkedIn Family, Today, I stand at a crossroads of opportunity and possibility, fueled by a deep sense of purpose and a lifetime of dedication to service. As I take this leap of faith, I am thrilled to share my aspiration of joining the board of an organization committed to addressing critical issues in housing, public health/healthcare, or youth empowerment. My journey has been shaped by a rich tapestry of experiences in the nonprofit sector and public administration. From grant writing to orchestrating impactful fundraising campaigns and managing volunteers, each role has been a stepping stone towards my current position as the Program Director for the public health AmeriCorps program at Florida Coalition to End Homelessness. In my role, I've had the privilege of witnessing the transformative power of community-driven initiatives in tackling complex challenges such as homelessness and public health disparities. It's this firsthand experience that fuels my desire to broaden my impact and contribute to systemic change at a governance level. Stepping out on faith is not just about embracing uncertainty; it's about embracing the possibility of creating meaningful change beyond the confines of our comfort zones. I joined an amazing organization - Families Forward Charlotte and they need YOU. 1️⃣ Help recruit Family Liaison mentors. Keys to being a great Family Liaison - having the time, being open to forming a new relationship with a family in our program, and approaching their situation with grace and understanding. No specific skills needed! I have attached a flyer that you can pass on to anyone interested. We don't have recent posts about being a Family Liaison but look for them over the coming months. 2️⃣ Share our need for child watch volunteers Volunteers will need to be background checked if 18 or older. Needs are primarily 5:30-8:30pm on Tuesdays and 10:30-1:30pm on Saturdays.
