Retail Media Networks (RMN) continue their surge! * Amazon now makes more money from advertising than Coca-Cola's global revenue. Amazon earned $46.9 billion from retail ads. This figure "exceeds the annual global revenue of Coca-Cola and makes Amazon the third-largest advertising platform in the US, behind only Google and FB. * Retail media will account for more than a fifth of all digital ad spending in 2024 marking a 21% increase from 2023. * The biggest challenge: trying to compare trends across retail media networks - it is still "apples and oranges...sometimes they're not even fruit" - ha, ha so true! https://lnkd.in/gUBb9p4X

Thanks so much for sharing this! I’ve been diving into learning more about retail media this year and curious how brands & retailers can leverage content creators and experts like myself, a registered dietitian, who can provide expertise & education to consumers directly at point of sale. Social media continues to be an over-saturated Wild West of misinformation, while RM can help cut through the clutter and offer more intentional & accurate information to help reduce consumer confusion. Would love to hear more thoughts how content creators & experts are being brought into the conversation!

It's fascinating to see how quickly RMNs are growing, especially with Amazon leading the charge. How do you think smaller brands will need to adapt their strategies to compete in a landscape increasingly dominated by these retail giants?
