Interesting. Does it hold light well enough? I would like to see how well it blinds the home from external light. Right now in Canada, sun sets and night falls around 9pm and sun rises by 5am, making a blackout curtain very necessary. Will this innovation serve?

I used to advise building users (*everyone uses buildings, where you live and work) on property problems. Now I help the property problem solvers themselves.

Although cool products, they perform a different role to curtains Curtains do more than block light or add privacy. Curtains keep heat inside a room in winter. With fuel prices increasing, I’d take curtains to keep the heat in, and save by not using the electricity to power these things. But could be very useful in other situations, or hotter countries.

What if power outage? This will definitely fit in some cases, but not everywhere.

I usually see that in “fine” hotels in a glass division from the bedroom 🛌 and the bathtub 🛀

Uuf I wouldn’t feel comfortable in a toilet made with that glass though… 🙈

Brilliant! This means no more arguments with my wife about where to put the curtain rails! This is the only substantive issue where we fight and then I have to say sorry because she was right all along. But by this time I have drilled the fixing holes in the wrong place which have to be filled and repainted…. You get the picture! This alternative is great and we don’t even have to go around endless endless stores looking for curtain material. A result and thanks for posting

I once worked with a client who used special security glass in their designated 'war room.' When things got intense, they would fog up all the windows for privacy, allowing them to focus on handling important matters. 😎 This is a pretty slick application with many uses; I can easily see it in home automation, tracking the sun's movement to keep a house cool throughout the day by blocking sun-facing windows at specific times. 🏡☀️

The next step will be to make every equipped window a potential screen. This would allow you to watch films or private videos whenever you want without showing your phone. Additionally, windows facing streets or public places could be rented by companies to place their advertisements at certain times of the day. This innovation has the potential to completely eliminate the classic billboard in cities.

Hmm, in general that seems like an interesting solution. But I would disagree with having it in a car. My passenger blocking a good portion of my view to the sides? Nope.
