Lest we forget!!! 🙏🏾 ❤️ In recognition of National Black Authors Day, I am pausing to recognize and honor the accomplishments and impact of my dear cousin (who was like my brother) — the late Eric Jerome Dickey. He is arguably one of most impactful authors in African American Fiction in the past 50 years. His string of best sellers is remarkable. He departed this life three years ago and is gone much too soon! Our mothers are sisters and we grew up together in Memphis, traversed college together as engineering students, pledged and contributed to our dear fraternity Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. His departure from the tech industry to pursue his gift and passion for writing and story-telling resulted in an enormous impact on the lives of many around the world. His books were translated in multiple languages and read by people all over the world. Despite his success and fame, he kept the common touch and helped many aspiring Black authors find their way. He made room for all at the table and spoke their names in rooms where they were not present. For this he is remembered and honored on this day we celebrate Black authors. Resting in Power and never forgotten!🥲 Eric Jerome Dickey

May he RIP. One of my favorite authors. These are my favorites that I refused to loan out as the others were never returned.
