Dog handler.

Today was one of those days I will never forget. To be stood amongst these true gentlemen who, alongside their dogs, without fear or favour, bravely confronted those intent on causing so much mindless violence. Like thousands of officers up and down the country. You have my upmost respect. Look after each other, watch each others backs, be proud, be strong, and please, go home safe.

Well said, these men and women face unknowns every single day and when they are attacked, the culprits should be brought before courts and dealt with in the sternest manner we have. We wait and wait to see what the outcome of the violent thug that broke that young brave police officers nose, who was actually caught on camera, yet somehow was not charged and remanded. The senior cops once again making decisions that rile the rest of us and keep their retirement plans in good order, shameful. How can it be, that the social services wanted to remove a child from its home, to protect the child from god knows what, the accompanying police officers attacked, car burnt out, clear as daylight footage of those rioting, adults and children - outcome, child is returned to the place of danger, no one charged and remanded to await justice, what have we become, shameful.

Respect to the front line. Tough job with no respect. A Police Force in the UK has always Policed with the will of the People. Respect has dwindled over the years, in my opinion for decline in morality. But I am ashamed of the two tier Policing that is starkly obvious to us all. Where were you during the Roma Riots, defacing of Statues and the disruption to infrastructure. The PM’s speech was the most divisive in a century, what did he expect would happen. Low hanging fruit Political Policing will continue to divide an already fractured UK.

I left the army for a variety of reasons, one of them is that I realised I was being used as a pawn in a game of no winners. Soldiers and police align strongly on this, just be careful who you brandish evil… I think your pointing downwards rather than in the correct direction (upwards). Politicians are the root cause of nearly all problems we face in society - from the lack of spine, to the what am I getting out of pushing your policy through, to allowing senseless laws/mandates to be put upon their constituents, to allowing mass immigration without careful consideration on how we can support those in need. It is very easy to believe in your job and think what you are doing is right, but even in a war - both sides believe they are fighting for what is right. What is right, is standing firm in what you believe in, but being open minded to the fact we might be being fed lies to continue the narrative of the few, which becomes the reality of the masses. I do not think that violence is the answer at all, I do feel that politicians need to listen to their constituents about their concerns on the decisions being made and act accordingly, not blanket those who feel strongly about certain issues that don’t align as far right extremists

Can I just ask where these brave gentlemen where a few weeks back when buses were being torched and police were being attacked? Seems like we have a real 2 tier policing system. I don't condone any of the violence I just wish every citizen was dealt with in the same way if they broke the law. Maybe then order can be restored?

I know it’s not the front line who call the political shots but senior police need to get the message to Westminster that two tier law enforcement is a recipe for disaster. The police are being used as political pawns in a stupid game of selective tactics to suit the current political narrative. That will cause unrest. Simple. There is one law and we should all be equal before the law. And face the consequences should we break that law - that’s every citizen. Collateral damage in terms of community impact is not for the law to determine - that is a societal issue not a law , justice or policing issue. Senior officers need to get the message to the Home Secretary that they will not be used as canon fodder or be weaponised or politicised for the sake of what is perceived as twisted political ideology. If you don’t then the pot will simmer- for gods sake just enforce the law equally and fairly or you lose the support and trust of the public and that is a recipe for anarchy.

So a term I've never really heard or given any real thought to before until the past few weeks; 2 tier policing! Now I've seen it in action and on various video forums, I'd call it 3 tier policing. Why do I say this. You've got the Muslim side, the so called "right wing" side and then there's the Police. All I see is the Police making the situation worse and contributing to the problems on the streets by choosing one side against the other - driven by political drivel and excuses as always. Its plain to see and there is plenty of evidence to back that up. If that is the case I don't see this grave situation going away, just getting worse for everyone.

As a mum who was waiting for my son to return home from work, every minute felt like an hour. Early hours this morning my son walked through the door battered and bruised. People tell me I should be proud, yes I am, not because of what he did yesterday but what he does every day that he puts on his uniform to protect and serve communities of Liverpool. No matter what he is faced with, his only thought is to do a good job. I’m also angry that thugs think they can use him and his colleagues as punch bags to vent their anger. To those who decided yesterday and the days before to arm themselves and hurt police officers, please remember they are human beings and one of them is my son who is my whole world!
