I’ve been around more pitches than Messi and as someone with a “hunter ego” it’s taken me a while to get it. Sales/ pitch teams never win new clients, the whole company does. It’s not about the people in the room, the tap dancers, it’s about the people not in the room. It’s about making the small things matter:- - the beautiful deck - your website - the financials stacking up - the look and feel of the room - the emotional connection on the journey - the passion for their business - the reputation you have with other customers - the company you keep - the personalised approach SKOOT Eco | B-Corp are switching on new climate positive customers (big and small) every week. Sales as a team sport. People have different conceptions about what sales is and how sales can be looked at. One of such conceptions that doesn't come intuitively to people is, sales as a team sport and something that inherently requires cooperation and coordination between individuals. Great day of calling, genuinely why you get into sales, the buzz of it all 😎 And then head out for a few beers 🍻 Love it 😍 But some key takeaways for me 👇 ♦️Numbers game not that many people pick up the phone, equals more dials 📲 ♦️Don't talk about features, has to be outcomes, the prospect doesn't give a F*ck about this button does this, does that ♦️You'll hear no more than yes, but that's ok, every no means you are closer to a YES ♦️I think "how are you?" is dying, my best calls were straight in with permission based openers ♦️AND finally, what's the worst that happens, they hang up or say no, it's just like being at home with my wife and daughter 🤣 Anything you think I've missed? #RecOS #sales #coldcalling
