Howell, MD - Chief Clinical Officer, Google 🧑⚕️ Vulnerable Populations: The need for tailored AI solutions to address unique challenges faced by vulnerable communities. Nina Vasan, MD, MBA at Stanford's Brainstorm shared some great insights, ideas and thoughts about how AI is already shifting the mental healthcare landscape. Natalie Pageler MD Randall Rutta 🛠️ AI Implementation & Frameworks: A powerful reminder from the panel: "Do what works, work together, make it last." The discussion emphasized the three pillars of trust in AI implementation. Michael Pfeffer 💬 Fireside Chat with NHS Clinical AI Lead Hatim Abdulhussein: Hatim shared that AI isn't perfect and shouldn't be assumed to be better than humans. He stressed the importance of health literacy and digital literacy. 🔬 AI-Enabled Research: Exploring AI's role in advancing research capabilities, including concepts like ambient intelligence and agentic intelligence. 🚨 COOL FINDINGS ALERT 🚨 We are excited to share our findings from engaging people across the country on their reactions to #AI entering their health care experience. 🔥 The day has arrived: Check it out And let me know what you find interesting! (links to our findings and resource hub in the comments) We need to ensure that the voice of people across the country is heard and understood as the world moves quickly in to a new realm of AI in health care. Here is the start of that work: 👥 63% of registered voters *across party lines* believe that the use of AI in health care should be more regulated. 🗨 Registered voters identified varying comfort levels with specific uses of AI in health care, including communicating test results via chatbots (47% comfortable), recording conversations during appointments (49% comfortable), and reviewing medical images or scans (47% comfortable). 💬 47% of registered voters believed the positive outcomes of using AI in health care outweigh the negatives. If privacy concerns were addressed, 34% would feel more confident using AI in health care. 🚦 An equal number of registered voters are optimistic (26%) and concerned (26%) about AI in health care, with another 27% expressing uncertainty. 🔮 GenZers (41%) are significantly more likely than any other age group to say they prefer their physicians do not use AI tools at all, compared to Millennials (30%), GenXers (33%), and Baby Boomers (30%). 🗣 Black adults (15%) were significantly more likely than any other race demographic to prefer extensive use of AI tools, compared to white (8%), Hispanic (6%), and AAPI+ (8%).
