Scouting time is so important for planning architectural photos. Whether it's an advance scout or done on the day of the shoot, the scouting time allows you to look at different angles and features of the location to think through the best options and ideally take some test shots and review them with the client. I scouted this location while the construction was nearing completion, several weeks before the move-in was complete. We were able to identify key areas to cover inside and coordinate with the city departments in advance for access. For this photo, the idea was to use the interior lights to accent prominent features of the building at sunset. I planned this shot to be at sunset because the building faces northwest which would give light on the face of the building. I also wanted to have the interior lights on in the upstairs conference room and downstairs lobby to emphasize the dynamic center section with all the windows. By combining bracketed exposures, I was able to get the balance between interior and exterior lighting that I wanted. Maximizing the potential of your property involves various strategies depending on your goals, the type of property, and its location. One strategy is to market your property through a professional photoshoot with an architectural photographer that offers a unique perspective to any construction, architectural, or interior project! Here are the things you can do prior the photoshoot to be fully prepared. By completing these before the photoshoot, you can ensure that your property is fully prepared to make a great impression and attract potential buyers or tenants! Practicing some of my architectural/real estate photography techniques on my parents house. If you are a real estate agent or an architect that needs high quality photos of their work, I believe these types of photos can really separate you from the rest. This photo is also special for me as my parents house was basically destroyed in hurricane Florence. It took over two years for it to be rebuilt. But now it's almost as if it's brand new. And well deserving of high quality photography. If you are an architect, interior designer, real estate agent, home builder, landscaper or anything in between. If you have any projects in need of high quality photography I would love to discuss them with you. #architecturalphotography #realestatephotography #commercialphotography

One of the biggest mistakes we see in our everyday work is trying to contain all the information about a project in one image. We assume that something can be uniquely highlighted, but in reality, no one knows where to look. It's not a coincidence that in interior and architectural photography, we see many different angles of a project. Some shots are wide and general, while others are partial and highly detailed. All are well-composed, capturing the most interesting light possible. In visualization work, we aim to think the same way. We start by explaining the project with general views and then move to the most detailed close-ups. This approach not only adds an artistic touch to the overall presentation but also provides deeper insight into the project and its story. The most interesting perspectives often don't explain the space in its entirety, but they are what make it special and inviting. -- Check out our website and book a consultation for getting to know our offer → https://www.talanoaga.com or reach out directly at [email protected] #architecture #photography #creativity #art #presentation #render #archiviz #design #architect #interiordesign

Shawood at Sommer's Bend at golden hour. I landed on this time of day for a few reasons: 1. Due to this home's orientation, the light seen below was only available for 11 minutes. You have to move fast if you want to capture more than one angle (or home!) per evening. 2. Golden hour creates difficult - and beautiful - lighting conditions. Without proper care, it can discolor the materials of your home. Speaking of materials, the finishes of this home are impeccable. 3. What you don't see, is me stuffed behind a row of bushes, perched up a steep hill. I would have moved further back, but a wall was limiting my movement. For exterior shots like this, you should create sufficient distance between you and your subject. This philosophy eliminates distortion in the architecture. 4. I'm noticing a trend in homebuilding that favors "natural" approaches to lighting, even in super-luxury product types. This golden-hour look is striking, memorable, and inviting. While I love this style, it relies on landscaping, weather, and site preparation to be immaculate. #photography
