One of three Peace Paintings, titled "And Our Heroes Have Misplaced Their Map" is exhibited in the first Lincolnshire Virtual Open exhibition here: https://lnkd.in/espiSTT3 I'm very sceptical about including my work anywhere locally, as I really need buyers to buy my work, not those who want to grift my ideas for "inspiration". And my work always sells anywhere else. This is why I have not included the Monaco paintings. The Monaco paintings are meant to be exhibited in Monaco to wealthy art collectors. This is the aim. 1:Aim 2: Believe 3: Receive. Follow the instructions to purchase work. Thankyou.

Opening tomorrow, the first of this year's senior art gallery exhibitions, Izzy Kolb: "What if I live life in all the wrong ways?" Exhibition: 1/23-1/27 Gallery Reception: Thurs. 1/25, 6-7 p.m. An installation of sculpture, ephemera, projected video and more. Artist Statement: Living in a society of oversaturation and overstimulation, the world can feel a bit loud. My process as an artist requires a prioritized relationship distinguishing my own internal voice from all other noise. My creative process, using self-imposed rules prohibiting social media use, revealed my long-standing dependency on this technology as a form of escapism. Through this work, I question the fundamental experience of endless visual entertainment, influence, and all-encompassing distraction. https://bit.ly/48vUJr1

"#Artists books are pieces of art in their own right, and they can take on multiple forms – sculpture, textile, painting, and text. They go beyond a sketch pad and become a portal to a new way of seeing things.“ To expand what is thought of as artists books, this video features three different artists' books and the artists. Beyond the books themselves, what is the most intriguing is hearing from the artists. Listening to their ideas and explanations, opens eyes to what an artists book is and could be. After viewing this, students should be directed to create their own artists books. Do not set any limits or constraints on what they must make. The only rule to follow should be is that the #art must involve a book. What would you make? I encourage you to share your thoughts in the comments. #MuseumEducation #BookArt https://lnkd.in/gnhDers5

The 20 of April 2024 the 60th Venice Arte Biennale opens favoring artists who have never participated in the International Exhibition Every year at the Biennale I am more and more surprised by how far art is drifting way from what I think of as Art. In the end I can’t help asking that old question—what is Art? The purpose of art in the past was to bring a new vison, new way of inspiring us to look at the world we live in. Art inspired visual creation in graphic art, publicity, films, T.V. and even fashion and textile design as well as influencing our thinking. Certainly, curator think art is not something to hang on your wall and appreciate each day. The big money-making machine of galleries, museums and auction house have taken over the role of what is the purpose of Art. They are killing the creative arts as well curators who make us more confused every year by taking off on wild tangents trying to be original. Let hope for more art in this 60th year of the Biennale.

When does making no sense become the best sense? This is a 1948 Jackson Pollock painting titled "Number 1A". I was going to do a blurb on how Pollock's art is interesting because it makes no sense when art is suppose to make some sense. I was then going to tie it into cold war america, which this piece was created during, and how this piece also represents the general american virtue of the freedom to reject established norms. I however found writing about this difficult, in one part because I have limited depth of knowledge about art history, but also because of how sneakily complicated the dialog around art really is. As hard as it is to describe what Pollock has done, it is equally hard to describe what he is rejecting. Maybe this is the point of the piece. It is clearly rejecting somthing, but what exactly is it rejecting? @NYC Museum of Modern Art
