#Clusternetworks strive to enhance the international competitiveness and the research and innovation capabilities of its stakeholders, thereby fostering the sustainability and attractiveness of the region in which they operate.
For this sake, #Austria hosts a yearly conference for its national cluster platform community, who come together to find new ways to connect and innovate businesses in the country.
Since the need to reorganise value chains for a circular economy has arrived in all sectors, Austrian businesses need to adapt. That is why for this year, on behalf of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Labour and Economic Affairs (Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Wirtschaft), around 100 people representing #clusters from all sectors and every corner of Austria met in #Salzburg to shape the sustainable future of the country’s cluster landscape.
The annual conference was held in conjunction with salz21 - the Salzburg Technology and Innovation Forum.
With exciting keynotes and panel discussions dedicated to the topic of circular transformation and a 360° view of applied climate neutrality and best practices, the clusters of the future had the chance to learn more about how they could make their businesses more sustainable and what regulations to look out for.
Participants also had the chance to dive deep into burning topics that affect clusters in interactive workshop sessions. From the #EUAIAct to #ESGReporting, to #labourshortage and #energycommunities, experts and participants joined in face-to-face discussions on how to deal with these issues affecting their businesses and organisations.
The event was rounded up with best practices from the cluster community in Bavaria and what Austria can learn from their learnings, followed by a discussion between Austrian and Bavarian clusters on the necessity for future transformation and how to achieve it.
