When a product or in our case therapy session is priced at both ₹200 and ₹1000, its value becomes ambiguous and random. Since the product has no fixed value, it can have any value creates dilemma for many of us therapists. In the field of counseling psychology, there is no standardized guideline for how much professionals should earn or charge for their services. This lack of standardization creates uncertainty, both for the psychologists and their clients, and can ultimately undermine the value of the profession. So many people have told me 'Oh you should increase your fees because of your experience now'. I do not think experience alone, something that I have no control on is the most important value. In my opinion, standardized pricing and earning guidelines could help establish a clearer value for services and ensure credibility and trust. #mentalhealthguideline #mentalhealthawareness #therapywork
