We already know how physical performance drops over the course of a match, however, does that correlate with a reduction in technical output? Are some players able to still output at the same level technically despite running less far or having fewer high speed actions? Equally, if they are producing at the same level technically, are those technical actions in the correct areas? Or because they have reduced their movement, are we finding players dictating play in areas that no longer work in the greater scheme of the tactics. These are the sort of questions you can answer with Playermaker. Those nuanced queries around why my team performs a certain way under certain conditions. I adore during demos asking coaches and analysts these sort of questions, as that's when you begin to see their knowledge kick in. Watching a coach go into their element and assess how they might improve performance, them hear them vocalise solutions is great fun. ⚽️ My go to resources all things Football Science and Footall Fitness planning. 📚 Dr. Adam Owen, PhD & Raymond Verheijen in their excellent texts 'raise the bar' in terms of scientific underpinnings, BUT with proper Football application. 📊 As a Football Scientist, I use these resources all the time. From planning the microcycle, using Football reference points for conditioning practices, to GPS measuring. Results from adopting practices in these texts have been outstanding. 🎯 Must reads for all Football practitioners.

Spectators/Parent's behaviour can be an issue within grassroots football. It can be the difference in players wanting to continue to play or dropping out of football all together. In a time where it is increasingly more and more difficult to get referees at games on Sundays I feel this research is more important than ever. For my final year dissertation, I will be looking at the impacts of spectator behaviour within the grassroots game on coaches, referees, and players.
