HE DIDN’T HAVE TO BUT HE DID! Professor Jay Seidel from Fullerton College took time out of his busy week to offer Friendly Center’s first ever Drone Bootcamp and hands-on drone flight instruction to our students! As the Director of the Fullerton Drone Lab, Seidel is instrumental in bringing awareness and ensuring our students learn the ins and outs of safe drone operation. His dedication and passion for aviation and visual storytelling have inspired our young learners. Jay Seidel's background is nothing short of impressive. As a Part 107 certified UAS Pilot and AUVSI TOP (Level 3) UAV Instructor, Jay has been flying drones since 2016. His extensive experience, from being a Drone Pro for the FAA’s Safety Team to being a certified master thermographer, highlights his commitment to drone education and safety. We are incredibly grateful to have such a distinguished instructor leading our bootcamp. At Friendly Center, we believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of generational poverty. By offering Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities like this Drone Bootcamp, we are empowering our youth with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the rapidly evolving job market. This bootcamp is just the beginning, and we are actively seeking to offer more CTE educational and discovery opportunities to our community. Thank you to Professor Seidel and the Fullerton Drone Lab for their incredible support and expertise. Let's keep flying high! 🚀 #DroneBootcamp #CTE #Education #FriendlyCenter #FullertonCollege #DroneSafety #GenerationalPoverty #OrangeCounty #CommunityPartners
