This week our Principal, Louis, was at Dublin Tech Summit moderating a panel. He was joined by Anna Lundin (Norrsken VC), Brendan Rogers (2am VC & Wag! Group Co.), George Mensah (Sure Valley Ventures), and Mark Dowds (RESPONSIBLE) The group covered everything, from how #investors establish rapport with #founders, to the common pitfalls when scaling a business. Key takeaways include: 💡 Personality is everything. At the early stage investors place tremendous weight on founders and the teams they're building. The product comes second. 💡 DD goes both ways. Founders should find investors willing to stay up with them all night to get them to where they want to be. 💡 Diversity, equity and inclusion hold the keys to global scale. Diverse teams see things a homogenous team cannot. Thanks for all for such an enjoyable and insightful session. See you next year Dublin Tech Summit 🙌 #Insight #Investment #DubTechSummit #VC

In today’s business landscape, #innovation is the name of the game. That’s why we were thrilled to sponsor the Venture Atlanta Conference for the fifth year in a row. Since Invesco’s beginnings in #Atlanta in 1978, we’ve cherished our roots here, and we’re proud to support the vibrant startup and tech community in the southeastern US. Here were some of our highlights: ✨ Hearing opening remarks from Chief Technology Officer Donie Lochan, who kicked off the conference for the hundreds of disruptors and top-tier investors in attendance. ✨ Joining a group of founders and investors for an Invesco-hosted lunch and intimate discussion on the entrepreneurship journey. ✨ Hosting 150 female founders and investors at our global headquarters for an exclusive conversation around navigating the world of raising capital. ✨ Listening to 83 founders pitch their companies – and their vision for how they will impact the world through innovation. #VA2023

Founder & CEO Fintech Is Femme Media ✍🏽 | Author, Fintech Feminists coming October 2024 📚 | Award Winning Journalist | Content Director | Global Speaker | Professor | AAPI 🇵🇭 | Community Builder for Women in Fintech
New York #Fintech Week is over, but I am already hyped for what's coming up: #NYTechWeek I can't think of a better way to kick off the Summer than bringing the fintech community together again for a blowout event. This week, I'm planning the agenda for the Fintech Is Femme Founders Summit on JUNE 3 -- kicking off #NYTW alongside the entire startup ecosystem. Grab your early bird ticket here before they're gone! https://lu.ma/gl5g0hno Here's 3 tips for how I start planning event content that drives value and attendance: 1. Content blocks: I believe in the rule of threes. Plus, audiences remember information more easily in threes. So, I break each section of content into 3 blocks. For the Fintech Is Femme Founders Summit, those content blocks are: Fundraising GTM Operational Efficiency 2. Be a Storyteller: To be a great storyteller, you have to know where to begin and have a clear direction for where you want to go. I start by filling in the top of the agenda, followed by the closing speakers. The middle section is filled in after, leaving slots open for new speakers that I discover along the way. Pro Tip: Don't fall in the trap of only prioritizing "high profile" speakers. Be the one to discover the next big speaker -- lean on your human ability to be curious about the stories of the unknown. 3. Innovate: The Fintech Is Femme Leadership Summit was nothing short of a success. Out 300 registrations, 218 showed up. It's RARE to see that type of attrition for an event (mind you, we had events competing against us and a solar eclipse). But, I won't rinse and repeate the same old structure as last time. Instead, I'll take the best pieces and create an entirely new experience -- keeping the value there and the flow of the event fresh. So, while I'm sad we have to wait until 2025 for the next NY Fintech Week, I'm stoked to have another opportunity to bring us together on June 3. HMU if you want to sponsor - currently prioritizing speakers/sponsors that want to not just say they support women, but actually do. 💜 **** Photo during the epic Empire Startups - Everything FinTech Conference!
