💥 Happy (Early) Fourth of July! ❤️ At RDC, we believe safety should be simple. We carry that ideology throughout our organization and actively work to protect every hand that touches our badge. 🤍 With that in mind, we want everyone to stay safe and enjoy the Fourth of July festivities. 💙 While fireworks and sparklers can be a blast, they come with many hazards: every year, about 10,000 people end up in the emergency room for fireworks injuries. We're sharing our top 4️⃣ tips from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission for a safe and fun Fourth: 💥 1. Know before you buy: make sure fireworks are legal in your area before purchasing or using them, be considerate of your neighbors and wildlife, and never light fireworks during a burn ban. 💥 2. Focus on fun: remove all distractions, keep a bucket of water and a hose in arm's reach, and stay sober while celebrating. 💥 3. Keep the kids safe: never allow children to light fireworks (yes, even sparklers!). 💥 4. Light one at a time, then step away: focus on what's in front of you and don't try to re-light or pick up fireworks that haven't ignited fully. ➡️ Learn more about the risks and fireworks safety at cpsc.gov/fireworks 🗓️ As a reminder, Radiation Detection Company will be closed on July 4 and 5 in observance of the holiday. Have a safe and fun Fourth! #FireworksSafety #HappyFourthofJuly #IndependenceDay
