Delighted to have attended Day 1 of the European Association of Communication Directors (EACD) Summit. Some main messages that I found particularly insightful 👇: - in a world of disinformation and misinformation, digital literacy is essential - communication professionals need to explain better their value creation (as sometimes this is integrated in other measurable deliverables) , so rely on measurement as much as possible - create, don’t fix (stop recycling content but create new one instead) - plan in a forward motion (always plan well in advance) - get out of your own way ( take a step back and reassess your role as a communication leader/ comms department within the organisation) - communication is a horizontal practice despite the pressure of specialisation - communication is a strategic function, not an service provider Looking forward to Day 2! #EACDsummit #communication

Nothing like exchanging views and learning from each other’s experience. Recently, our colleague Anne-Sophie Martin facilitated an ABCI - Association Belge de la Communication interne training for a bunch of communicators on how to prepare for a crisis and to communicate during a #crisis. They exchanged about their experience of past tough situations as well as cases from various industries and locations. The main takeaways: 👉 take deep breaths. 😱 👉 get back to the basics. 🤓📚 👉 always consider the impact for your audience. 🎯 #crisismanagement #crisiscommunications #internalcommunications
