💪 The results of the "Life Quality Barometer" survey, conducted by the European Business Association in partnership with KERNEL and Gradus Research, show that Ukrainians demonstrate incredible resilience and faith in the future of their country. Key findings: 🏠 9 out of 10 Ukrainians remain in their permanent place of residence, despite the challenges of the war. ↩️ Among those who left, the majority plan to return, and the number of those considering permanent emigration has halved in a year. 🛡️ The main factors that will contribute to the return are security and economic stability. Businesses are also holding strong: 💼 Most employees of the ЕВА's member companies have retained their jobs, even while working remotely from abroad. 🙌 Companies are actively supporting their employees by providing flexible working conditions and opportunities for professional development. 📊 For more details on the survey results: https://lnkd.in/dkFTTKdG

Will Canada rise to the global challenge at UNGA or falter in the spotlight? This week the world descends on New York City for the United Nations General Assembly, or UNGA. Amid traffic congestion, celebrity-soaked events and more speeches than I thought possible, my little middle-power nation has some choices to make. How are we going to meet this important international moment? Will we respond with fervour, or will we flail? Holding up our end of the bargain on the SDGs is not an act of charity. Our presence out in the world is critical for Canada to flourish. This is true on almost every metric that matters to Canadian households — safety, economic prosperity, health security, leisure and connection to the loved ones outside our borders. Just ask the large Ukrainian, Egyptian or Libyan populations of Canada, or anyone (everyone) affected by COVID-19. As tempting as it is to look inwards, our lives are dependent on looking outwards. Performance as an engaged global player is hard to measure, pinning down the metrics that would land us in a sweet spot of doing enough without overtaxing our resources is a balance that changes as fast as the next disaster, emergency or global concern. It’s not easy but it’s also not a footnote to the main story of governing — it is a plot line that is central to the success of Canada and Canadians. Today, the global state of affairs can be summed up in one word: instability. Our world, it seems, has had one too many coffees — we are shaky, spinning and moving too quickly for our own good. What we need from our elected officials at this moment is a steady hand, a clear strategy and the ability to work beyond election cycles. As I sit here at an UNGA event in my own reserved seat, ready to listen to the first of too many speeches, I wonder which Canada will show up this week. The one who sees itself as a small player on a big stage, or the one that puts in the work, the resources and the political capital to move us towards a better world. Canada once again took its place near the top of the world rankings, 2nd in the world behind only Switzerland. People like us, they really do. Interesting to note that the category of "agility" was our best overall category but that among all the countries in the world, Canada was in the top 5 in three other categories, including quality of life. Yes I also wondered what "agility" is all about and they define it as "being efficient in its actions, able to adopt and accept modern solutions..." Some here might argue with Canada rating high in that category, but I guess it shows that all countries have their political issues too. Canada ranked first in racial equity which is great to see. #torontorealestate #realestateinvesting #toronto #canadarealestate #torontocondos #gtarealestate #worldrankings #Canada

According to US News, Canada ranks 2nd after Switzerland as the best country in the world in 2023. Factors ranging from a country's military and economic prowess to the quality of life experienced by its residents were analyzed. This evaluation involves 87 countries and was based on responses gathered from more than 17,000 global citizens. Respondents were also asked to associate countries with various qualities across ten subrankings, including power, cultural influence, heritage, and social impact. The scores from these associations were used to create a list of the world's top countries, along with nearly 100 other distinct rankings. Here's the list of top country rankings. Canada has also secured positions in the top five in three additional subrankings, including quality of life. Additionally, the country excels by claiming first place in various attributes, including racial equity. #canada #globalrankings #racialequity
