This event celebrates the 40-year journey through the Research and Innovation Framework Programmes. The R&I week is a unique opportunity to discuss the future of R&I and its impact to EU political priorities, focusing on EU Tech Sovereignty and Competitiveness. 💡 But that's not all! The R&I Week also features the Belgian Presidency event on Innovative Procurement. Reflecting back on the Commonwealth Kenya Tech Innovation Week 2023, winning the Presidential Innovation Award was a significant achievement that highlighted the impactful contributions of our innovation. This recognition validated our commitment to pushing the boundaries of technological advancement and addressing pressing societal challenges. Receiving the award served as affirmation that our innovation not only had the potential to drive positive change but also garnered attention and support from key stakeholders, including government authorities. It reinforced our belief in the power of innovation to transform lives and enhance the well-being of communities. Moreover, winning the Presidential Innovation Award provided a platform to showcase our innovation on a national and international scale, amplifying its reach and impact. It opened doors to new opportunities for collaboration, funding, and scaling our solution to reach even more people in need. Beyond the accolades, the recognition encouraged us to continue our journey of innovation, to persist in our efforts to create meaningful and sustainable solutions that address critical issues facing our society. It inspired us to further refine our innovation, leveraging feedback and lessons learned to continuously improve and adapt to evolving needs and circumstances. 🌟 Friday Reflection: Celebrating Collaborative Success of the 2024 EIC Summit! 🚀 🦄 With over 1,600 participants in attendance, the impact of this year's event stood out across the innovation landscape. Here are just a few takeaways that made the event truly exceptional: 🔍 Deep-Tech Impact: The summit showcased the real impact the EIC is making in deep-tech innovation, as evidenced by the insights shared in the EIC Impact Report 2023. 👩🔬 Recognition of Women Innovators: For the first time, the summit celebrated remarkable women innovators in collaboration with colleagues from the EIT - European Institute of Innovation and Technology, highlighting their invaluable contributions to the field. 💡 Inspiring Projects and Initiatives: The exhibition featured impressive projects from the main EIC schemes (Pathfinder, Transition, Accelerator), including initiatives like Seeds of Bravery, dedicated to supporting Ukrainian deep tech startups, and the Women TechEU initiative, aimed at empowering women in tech. 🛠️ Workshops and Resources: Engaging workshops offered valuable insights and resources to support beneficiaries in their daily endeavors, fostering growth and innovation. 💼 Investor Day and Jury Members Day: These events provided crucial networking opportunities, connecting EIC beneficiaries with investors and providing invaluable feedback from esteemed jury members. 🤝 Public/Private Procurement Event: The summit also hosted a fruitful event on public/private procurement, aligning with the subsequent Belgian Presidency of the Council of European Union and emphasizing the importance of collaboration in driving innovation forward. Together, all Departments of the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) showcased the power of innovation and collaboration, setting the stage for even greater achievements in the future. 🚀🌟 Iniziativa participated in the first Industry 5.0 stakeholder event organized by the PROSPECTS 5.0 Horizon Europe Project in Brussels on May 29th. 🌍🤝 During the event, Giovanni Arnaboldi presented our SURE Project and BRIDGESMEs projects, focusing on support activities for the 5.0 transition. 🔍✨ In particular, for SURE5.0, Iniziativa is implementing an assessment of the level of Industry 5.0 readiness of the SMEs involved in the acceleration program, conducting in-depth interviews with companies to provide recommendations and ad-hoc services for business innovation. 📊💡 The BRIDGESMEs presentation focused on the study on obstacles and needs of SMEs from 5 industrial ecosystems involved in the transition towards Industry 5.0, as well as on the open call recently launched for the expression of interest of start-ups and tech-savvy enterprises.
