In the fiscal year 2024, the Indian IT sector led by behemoths such as Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, and Wipro, encountered a confluence of challenges and strategic pivots. Notably, the sector faced a collective headcount reduction, a downturn in the US revenue, a fluctuating performance in the BFSI sector, and a paradox of rising deal wins not translating into equivalent revenue growth. This complex scenario unfolded alongside proactive strides into artificial intelligence and #GenAI, areas that both promise future gains but are currently shadowed by a cautious market outlook.

If making targets can make you successful, every CEO in the world will be successful. Target is the starting point. It is what will you do differently to achieve this target matters more. Pushing people to do better is not a strategy and may not give results beyond a point. Throwback from the past: Vishal Sikka in 2015 made Infosys 2020 target to achieve $20 billion ($8.7 billion then) in revenue at 30 per cent net margin (23 per cent then) and revenue per employee of $80,000 ($49,000 then). Reality: After Infosys successful turnaround 2017-2023, in 2024, Revenue is $18.6 Billion with 20.7% Margin and Revenue per employee ~ $59K) #EIIRTrend #CEO #Target #ITServices #Strategy https://lnkd.in/gtqU5-ub

Bridging Generations: The Robotech Story In Bangalore, the young techies at Robotech often took breaks in their modern lounge, while the older employees chatted on the rooftop canteen, reminiscing about the company's early days. The two groups rarely mingled, assuming the other wouldn’t understand their experiences. One day, the HR team announced a project: "Robotech: Then and Now", aiming to document the company's journey. They needed volunteers from every age group. Rohan, a newbie, teamed up with Mr. Iyer, who had been with Infosys since its inception. As Mr. Iyer narrated tales of the company's beginnings, Rohan was inspired to juxtapose those stories with current advancements in a digital presentation. Their collaboration won accolades. More importantly, it broke the ice between the older and younger employees. They began sharing, learning, and collaborating more, realizing that, despite the age gap, they all were an integral part of Infosys's legacy and future. #AgelessInnovation #TechTalesTogether #PastMeetsPresent #InclusivityInTech #LegacyAndInnovation

In a first in 20 years Tata Consultancy Services Infosys Wipro together report huge loss in employee strength in FY24 - 63,759👨💻. ⚠️Such a substantial loss in employee strength could negatively impact the overall employment rate in the country, leading to increased unemployment levels. 📈The IT sector is a key contributor to India's GDP growth. A decline in the workforce of major IT companies may slow down the sector's growth rate, affecting the overall economic growth of the country. 🗺India's position as a global leader in the IT outsourcing industry could be challenged if major companies continue to face losses in employee strength, affecting the country's competitiveness in the global market. #technology #itservices #wipro #infosys #TCS #techmahindra #techworkforce #techskills #economicrepercussions #India .
