In view of the sustainability goals that many companies have committed to and the available economic incentives, this is an opportune moment to consider #waterrecycling.
Last week, PUB organised two industry briefing sessions to share on the new mandatory water recycling requirements, which will come into effect from 1 January 2024. Over 150 representatives from the wafer fabrication, bio-medical and electronic sectors, solution providers, and consultants learned more about the specific requirements during design and operation stage, and the support that PUB would be providing, including technical advice on design plans and financial support through the enhanced Water Efficiency Fund (WEF). Attendees also gleaned insights from companies that had successfully implemented water recycling, such as Hoya Electronics, JMS Singapore and GlobalFoundries Singapore – and the cost-savings they have reaped as a result! 💰 With rising water needs and challenges of climate change, we need to ensure sustainable growth in our water demand.
