Does anyone have experience using the Furuno SDK for interfacing with Furuno radar (DRS4 NXT)? Once the interface has been developed and functional, is the SDK still required, ie do you gave to continue paying the annual SDK license fees to keep the interface working? My Client is concerned about interface functionality if annual fee is not paid or Furuno cancel license - radar interface would then become non-operational. This is a risk to the functionality of the USV radar navigation capability. Any insight on this? Furuno don't respond, hence my query here.

There is no annual maintenance from Furuno Eddie. However, they may issue updates to fix bugs and support newer models periodically

4moHave received positive and constructive response from Furuno, no annual licence fees applicable. However, if radar interface firmware is updated, will need new SDK, or updates there to at a fee. So, my problem resolved. Thanks all.
