On this day, we appreciate the patriotic men and women who fought and sacrificed themselves so that we can enjoy the privileges that America has today.

As the USA gears up for another pivotal election, imagine the possibility of Kamala Harris becoming the first female president . Women possess unique qualities—intuition, resilience, and a strong will—that make them exceptional leaders. It's time the world embraces these changing realities. Opting for Donald Trump simply because he's a man overlooks the diverse leadership skills women bring to the table. Let's support leaders based on their abilities, not gender, and usher in a future where leadership truly reflects our evolving times. #Leadership #WomenInLeadership #ChangingTimes #Election2024
The United States has yet to elect a woman president in its 248-year history. https://lnkd.in/dw5cEHa3

Time to address the elephant in the room, because change is here, whether some want it or not. As Barbara F. Walter highlighted in her TED Talk, "The people who tend to start civil wars, especially ethnically-based civil wars, are the groups that had once been politically dominant but are in decline." This insight strikes a deep chord when we look at the current landscape of the U.S. In the U.S., the rise of militias, primarily driven by white men who see America's changing identity as a direct threat to their status, is alarming. These were the same individuals who marched on the Capitol on January 6. Their tactics to preserve dominance are insidious and multifaceted, in attempts to manipulate the system using institutions like the Supreme Court to do their dirty work by: ** Taking Away Reproductive Rights: The assault on women's reproductive rights is a blatant effort to control and subjugate women. ** Attempting To Make Interracial Marriages: There are even attempts to roll back progress by challenging the legality of interracial marriages. ** Installing Minority Puppet Leaders: Installing minority leaders who will act as pawns to keep their communities in check is another insidious tactic. So, why is this happening now? As Walter puts it, "It's happening now because of demographic change." The shifting demographics of the country are seen as a threat by those who once held unchallenged power. To address this potential slide into anocracy, Walter suggests, "We have to improve the rule of law. We have to ensure equal access to every citizen to the vote. We have to reduce corruption and we have to improve the quality of government services." However, reforming a government is a monumental task. It takes time and often seems impossible. This is exactly where the U.S finds itself today, almost paralyzed. Change is coming, and while it may be met with resistance, it is ultimately for the betterment of all. I see this as a pivotal moment. What are your thoughts? WHAT IS AN ANOCRACY GOVERNMENT? Anocracy, or semi-democracy, is a form of government that is loosely defined as part democracy and part dictatorship, or as a "regime that mixes democratic with autocratic features." https://lnkd.in/eMAw46P6

Inspirational insights from Pink on the importance of acknowledging women's achievements over appearances, and addressing gossip with maturity and respect. Check out this powerful lesson in conscious leadership and empowerment. #Leadership #Empowerment #Women
Pitting women against each other to create some sort of conversation is just… boring. And outdated. Well done, Pink, for shutting down that narrative and honoring the Queen of Pop who opened the door for so many 👑

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth, a pivotal day in America’s history. Celebrated annually on June 19th, Juneteenth commemorates the day Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay in 1865 and decreed that the more than 25,000 enslaved Black men and women were free by executive order. This announcement came two years after President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation of 1863, which had yet to be implemented in all Confederate-controlled territories. Juneteenth serves as a reminder of the delayed justice many men, women, and children had to endure. In celebration of freedom, equality, and achievements, today is a day to reflect on all aspects of American history and look ahead to a future of continued progress. #Juneteenth #TouchdownPR

That’s how societal norms change Have you ever regretted: - Smiling? - Laughing at a stupid comment? - A sexist joke? - Or simply said nothing, pretending it didn't happen? Instantly regretting it, but did nothing about it? I know I have. I know many of us do. Each time we do, we minimize it. Each time we tell ourselves “let’s not make a big deal out of it” because we don't want to come across as hysterical, we validate and condone that nasty behavior. But how can we say to the youngest generation that we are progressing if we keep turning the other cheek? Let's stop building on guilt. Let’s stop building on emotional exhaustion. Take a stand! Call it as you see it when you see it. And do it because each time you do, it's like acknowledging your worth, acknowledging women's worth. Do it because we deserve real progress. Do it because we deserve better. Take a stand. Show the world what progress is like. Set clear boundaries. Stop accepting less than what should be a given: Respect and Consideration! #WomenEmpowerment #PersonalDevelopment #PersonalGrowth #Change

It's truly disheartening to see the recent actions taken by the House to tack on culture war amendments to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The House Armed Services Committee dedicated significant time and effort to address crucial quality of life issues affecting our servicemembers. They listened to senior enlisted leaders from each service, aiming to improve the lives of those who defend our nation. Instead of respecting this bipartisan effort, some House members chose to derail the measure with amendments that have nothing to do with national security. These amendments, which aim to deny medical care and dismantle offices dedicated to fighting discrimination, are a slap in the face to those who have put their lives on the line for this country. Military service has always been a pathway for marginalized and disadvantaged communities to prove themselves and earn their way into the middle class. Now, Republicans are working to shut these doors of opportunity, hurting those who serve our nation with honor and courage. It doesn't matter if you agree with someone's lifestyle. If they've served in the military, they've earned the right to live their life as they see fit. It's disgraceful that politicians are using the NDAA to push a divisive agenda that undermines the very people who make our freedoms possible. These servicemembers deserve our respect, our support, and the resources they need to thrive. They should not be pawns in a political game. As a country, we stand for liberty, justice, and the pursuit of happiness. It’s appalling to see political points scored at the expense of servicemembers, veterans, and military families. This behavior is not only shameful but a betrayal of our national values.

TOMMY TUBHEAD OF ALABAMA (WHERE ELSE?) SOMETIME FOOTBALL COACH AND DEVOUT CHRISTIAN TURNED SENATOR, IS GRANDSTANDING ON WHAT HE PROCLAIMS ARE HIS INVIOLABLE “MORAL” PRINCIPLES🤔, ABOUT PREVENTING ANYONE HAVING AN ABORTION IN THE US MILITARY “ON TAXPAYOR MONEY”…. Meanwhile a short review of his own ethical conflicts is ironic to say the least…but devoutly Christian as he is, and as a true patriot, he has chosen to impress the folks back in ‘Ole Miss’ and elsewhere by crippling the US military to make his point. Wikipedia: “Tuberville invested $1.9 million in GLC Enterprises, which the Securities and Exchange Commission called an $80 million PONZI scheme. He lost about $150,000 when the business closed in 2011. At Auburn, Tuberville participated in the Auburn Church of Christ. Tuberville's interests include "NASCAR, golf, football, hunting and fishing, [and] America's military". He enjoys country and western music. In August 2023, The Washington Post reported that campaign finance and property records suggest Tuberville lives in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, instead of Auburn, as his office claims, and has for almost two decades. The United States Constitution requires senators to live in the state where they are elected, but does not provide a minimum length of residency; Alabama requires a candidate to reside in the state for just one day to run for office.(POLITICAL MORAL: IDIOTS DESERVE IDIOTIC LEADERSHIP)” #senate #tuberville #military #abortionrights #pentagonconfirmations
