If you could only wear one colour to work for the rest of your life, what would it be? “I can’t pick! Bright. Bright is my colour. If you’ve seen me, you know I live most of the year in dresses of a variety of colours, just add tights and boots and the bright summer dress becomes winter proof!” How do you approach problem-solving in your role? “ I’m happy and comfortable enough to just follow my instincts and just ‘click the buttons’, see where the problem-solving process takes me. The worst that can happen is I make a mistake which I will then fix up. The best outcome is I will solve the problem first go at it. Either way I will have learned something, and the problem will be being solved!” How do you like to celebrate an occasion? Shame on some companies out there. Looking at your Christmas parties in a stale place with a bit of cheap wine thrown in. Your staff deserve better than that. Never underestimate the effect of giving your team a great night out; they work hard for you so think of as many ways as you can to show them your gratitude. It was so lovely to have everyone in Birmingham for the night, away from our normal environment, spending time in the hotel lobby together pre and post event, then having breakfast together in the morning. You shouldn't put a price on that! Increase your budget for the summer party (yes that should be a thing) and give a little love back to the people who deserve it most. #propertymanagement
