🔗 Explore the insights here: UK Hydrogen Innovation Opportunity While I wasn’t part of the team that crafted this report, I’m in awe of the work done by the Hydrogen Innovation Initiative and their partners especially my colleagues Connected Places Catapult who have been involved. They’ve distilled the complexities of the hydrogen economy and presented a clear context for its potential growth to a staggering $8 trillion by 2050. The report focuses on four key areas: Hydrogen Production & Carriers: Pioneering new ways to produce and transport hydrogen. Transport Propulsion: Driving the next generation of transport systems. Industrial Use: Harnessing hydrogen for industrial energy needs. Storage Solutions: Innovating reliable storage for hydrogen’s full lifecycle. For the UK, a 10% stake in this burgeoning technology market means triple benefits: Economic Prosperity: Fostering growth and employment. Decarbonisation Efforts: Leading the charge towards #NetZero.
