ICYMI: The Edmonton Region is ready to become a leader in semiconductor manufacturing! 🇨🇦 The global #semiconductor (or #chip) shortage highlighted the importance of the industry — and the importance of keeping the supply chain uninterrupted. Our region boasts a strong tech sector, a skilled workforce, and the nanoFAB facility — a hub for semiconductor development and manufacturing. With government support, the Edmonton Region could become a major player in this critical field. 🚀 “Having the homegrown manufacturing capabilities for these high technology components [like chips] is critically important,” Eric Flaim, director of nanoFAB at the University of Alberta, said. “Making an investment into [semiconductor production] locally, can put you on the map globally, as a place where this kind of work can be done.” To read more about the Edmonton Region’s potential in semiconductor manufacturing, click here: https://ow.ly/myzS50StZoA Nate Glubish Matthew O'Connell Christina Bilyk Kris Barker Paul Bakhmut TransEON Inc.
