VdA participates in Lisbon Energy Summit & Exhibition Manuel Protásio and Ana Luís de Sousa will be moderating the Strategic Conference and Climatetech Conference during the Lisbon Energy Summit & Exhibition, a European event dedicated to the energy transition with the theme ‘Creating Tomorrow's Energy System Today’. The event takes place from 27 to 29 May and includes three conferences: Strategic Conference, Hydrogen & Decarbonisation, and Climatetech Conference. On 28 May, Ana Luís de Sousa moderates the panel ‘Utility scale solar: Overcoming challenges associated with electricity grid connections’ at the Climatetech Conference. This panel aims to discuss the challenges and strategies for implementing the European Solar Energy Strategy, including regulatory obstacles, infrastructure, optimisation and energy storage technologies. On the 29th, Manuel Protásio will moderate the panel ‘Mobilising public and private capital to accelerate the energy transition’ at the Strategic Conference. This session will explore financial strategies to promote the energy transition, encouraging investment and reducing decarbonisation costs. Solar is now the cheapest form of electricity in a majority of countries! According to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IEA), at the end of 2023, the world added enough wind energy to power nearly 80 million homes, making it a record year. With solar panel prices experiencing a crazy drop of 40 to 53 percent in Europe from 2022 to 2023, this could accelerate the energy transition towards renewable energies. With this outlook, I'm super proud of my partnership with EnBW, which is committed to systematically advancing the expansion of solar energy by 2025, focusing primarily on Germany but extending its reach to selected international markets. 🆕 Making headway in Germany   Through Kronos Solar - EDPR, we've signed our first Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) in the country with Lhyfe, a leading green hydrogen producer. Through this 15-year long PPA, our 39 MWac solar project will deliver 58 GWh of clean energy annually for the production of 8 Ton of green hidrogen per day, contributing to the decarbonization of mobility and industry sectors.    We are proud of our partnership with Lhyfe, through which we are driving the change towards a greener, more sustainable future, transforming the energy landscape, one solar panel and hydrogen molecule at a time.    Since entering Germany in 2022, we have been focused on accelerating solar energy initiatives, with over 8 GWp of solar projects in the pipeline, and the ambition to develop wind projects in the country by the end of the decade.     Learn more about this project here: https://lnkd.in/dtAuh5e7 #EDPWeChooseEarth #RenewableEnergy

Hybrid energy generation ☀🌬 SENS has built three solar parks with a total capacity of 23.5 MWp for WINDPOWER GmbH in an existing wind farm in the community of Deining, near Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate. The three solar parks alone save an estimated 11,150 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually and provide lots of #GoodEnergy. 💛 "The hybrid renewable energy project in Deining embodies the synergy between innovation, partnership commitment and positive regional development. We at SENS are very pleased that we were able to help the customer achieve a future with Good Energy in the region with our EPC services.
