ArmorCode raises $40 million to help companies ship secure software: ArmorCode announced it closed a pre-emptive $40 million Series B round to advance its mission of helping companies ship secure software fast and at scale. Premier venture firm HighlandX led the round, joined by NGP Capital, along with participation from existing investors Ballistic Ventures, Sierra Ventures and Cervin Ventures. Anyone that's talked to me in the last few years about what I think is needed in the broader IT security industry has probably heard me say we have to stop talking about the #cybersecurity skills gap and start talking about the cybersecurity productivity gap. Radiant Security is bringing some kick ass ML/AI together with deep domain experience (and you need both for this to work) to start closing this gap for #SOC teams.

SentinelOne is not for sale and is instead “focused on our individual path” says CEO Weingarten, who spent the first part of the company’s quarterly earnings call dispelling rumors about a Wiz merger. He also clarified that yesterday’s announcement was misunderstood to be a termination of the partnership with Wiz when it was merely a cancellation of a reseller agreement, not the end of the partnership. Management then shifted gears to focus the rest of the discussion on its strategy for driving higher adoption of the Singularity platform while narrowing operating losses. And 47% ARR growth with 34% EBIT margin improvement is not a bad showing. With 11K customers, SentinelOne must be doing something right. SentinelOne may not be for sale but it did engage Qatalyst Partners as a strategic advisor. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what develops.

Astera Labs, Reddit and now Rubrik? ⚡⚡⚡ After witnessing Reddit and Astera Labs going public just this March, we are now seeing Rubrik (Cybersecurity software company) joining what feels like a very exclusive club considering what we saw on the market last year. Already on the first day of trading, Rubrik’s stock raised 16% 🚀🚀🚀 bringing the company value to $6.6 billion based on outstanding shares.
