💲🚨The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has $100 million in new funding available to support projects in energy storage -- looking beyond lithium ion batteries 💲🚨 This new cash supports pilot-scale demonstrations of non-lithium, long-duration energy storage technologies. With a total funding of up to $100M, individual projects will receive between $5M to $20M, requiring a minimum of 50% non-Federal cost share. The primary objectives include advancing non-lithium storage technologies, generating operational datasets, and building investor confidence.
