CHILE 📣 Zeroca aggregates carbon credit program under bilateral climate agreement with Switzerland ⏩ On December 9, 2023, Chile signed a bilateral climate agreement with Switzerland under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. This agreement created a financing opportunity for projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Chile, including those in e-mobility. Zeroca is now aggregating a program that will accelerate the transition to e-mobility through the participation of various key actors linked to the transportation sector (owners, suppliers or manufacturers of the technology, investors, operators, leasing companies, among others)! Developing international business across start-up/scale-up and consolidated environments
On my way back to Alicante from the IV edition of #RENMADHIDROGENO 2024 in Zaragoza. Many inspiring and insightful round-tables and firesides today, perhaps the clearest messages from BBVA, CaixaBank and Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure Plc on what makes an H2 project bankable: * Secured grid connection to avoid intermittent production yet still meet low-carbon criteria * Experienced internal/external human capital within the project * H2 valley end-to-end strategy to secure (local) off-taking Interestingly enough, while public subsidies and regulations all focus on green hydrogen production and transport, judging by the coffee break chats the entire sector seems to think politicians are barking up the wrong tree, as what’s needed is to incentivise and create demand. Food for thought.
