Today we published preliminary results for the first quarter and global deliveries for the second quarter – which shows a growth of 80%. Polestar is in an exciting phase of acceleration, now with three cars on the road and excellent reviews of the Polestar 4 coming in from the global media during the past days. "This is a superb car. Our two news SUV’s have received stellar reviews and test drive slots are booked out. Our retail model shift is in execution, and we have strengthened our sales management team significantly. We expect strong revenue improvement in the second quarter and are confident about our business performance in the latter part of the year. Has Polestar missed the mark? Cutting the base price of the all-new Polestar 3 by 12%+ prior to introduction is not a good sign. The Polestar 3 remains an expensive vehicle with significant competition (and growing exponentially) in the segment (BEV, ICE and hybrid). Ford Motor Company, BMW Group, Mercedes-Benz AG, Lexus, General Motors One major positive is the fact that Polestar is from Volvo Cars, with strong customer loyalty to the brand.
