Committee Meetings, Group meetings, one-on-one conversations are the order of the day! As negotiations at INC continue it is so important to gain insight into the positions of members to identify where alignment of ideas occur, and to find a pathway to convergence of views. I find these diplomatic discussions so difficult, but so very important. Thanks to Kiara Worth for sharing this sneaky image she captured whilst documenting the proceedings. #inc4 #endplasticpollution

RII recently participated in the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) conference held in Kansas City, Missouri. The event proved to be an exceptional experience, fostering connections and showcasing the collaborative spirit of the railroad industry. The conference boasted an impressive turnout, with over 1,700 attendees and 200+ exhibitors. This vast #network provided a platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration. RII representatives actively engaged in information sessions, gaining valuable insights into the latest industry trends and best practices. One of the key takeaways from the conference was the profound sense of community within the railroad industry. Although often perceived as one of the smallest niches, it has countless sectors within which encompasses a diverse range of specialties. Events like ASLRRA serve as a vital space where these diverse groups can converge and drive innovation in an ever-changing world. By participating in such events, #RII remains committed to staying at the forefront of the railroad industry and contributing to its continued success. #railroadindustries #Industryconference #Collaboration #KansasCity #ShortLineRailroads #GrowthMindset
