Y’all, I can’t explain how excited I am to interview Andy Merrill on 8/22 at the Downtown Library about his work and its impact on popular culture. Space Ghost Coast to Coast and Adult Swim reinvented comedy and adult animation and Andy was at the center of so much of it. HAIL BRAK https://lnkd.in/gUK66kHt

This is the last week to see the installation “Seeking Belonging in the Light Cast by Nine Birds” by artist Michelle Inez Hinojosa at the Downtown Library. Come see it before May 26th, on a sunny evening between 7-8 PM for best effect! Michelle Inez Hinojosa's Seeking Belonging in the Light Cast by Nine Birds is a collection of transparent artworks which unfold memories about migration, indigenous/intergenerational knowledge, and love. These artworks reference traditional quilting patterns of the United States and textile and embroidery designs used in traditional Mexican clothing. Michelle Inez Hinojosa makes connections between the movement of migratory birds, her own family, and the many other families who find themselves crossing borders. In this exhibit, the nine birds are flying North, the same as her family's movement seeking a future without borders, while they appear to fly into the library doors, seeking both knowledge and space to belong.

Well, I figured it was a good time for a personal website, huh? So here it is, through the very cool magic of github static pages: https://lnkd.in/gtE_ifRd Including a bunch of talks, links to papers and publications, all my pandemic puppet videos, and even some of our family band at our neighborhood music festival.
