In the bustling city of Las Vegas, Nevada, Super Bowl LVIII is currently underway, with the dazzling Allegiant Stadium taking center stage as the host venue. The excitement is palpable as football enthusiasts and fans from all corners eagerly anticipate the unfolding spectacle, promising a perfect blend of sportsmanship, entertainment, and the vibrant energy unique to Vegas. Las Vegas is known for many things: casinos, spectacular shows, over-the-top nightlife, and bad decisions (hey, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, as they say!) For foodies like me, Sin City is most famous for one thing: buffets. No city in America gives you a better opportunity to eat your weight in delicious food. But how did Vegas become so synonymous with the all-you-can-eat buffet? For that matter, how did buffets get started in the first place? Let’s dig in… #lasvegas #SuperBowlLVIII

A productive week spent at the Brewers Association CBC in Vegas, meeting suppliers, brewers, and event organizers. Massive thanks to the Brewers Association and Konvoy for their support. Excited to share that there are lots of BD opportunities for We Are Beer down the line. Looking forward to a productive summer working with both organizations over here in the UK. Despite the challenges that the industry is facing globally, leaving Las Vegas feeling pretty positive. Why? ➡ Because the topline trading numbers are decent and people still want premium. The raw material for commercial success is there. ➡ Because the craft and indy sector is where the vast majority of "new" in beer starts, and where the creative capital lies - both brands and products. ➡ Because we're entering into a new phase for good beer and we haven't really seen the sector make its move post-covid. Knowing and meeting the hard working and smart people in beer, and seeing some of the plans and strategies coming into play, I think you'll see good beer kick on again. Which is great for the whole category. Excited to get stuck in.

Staying in to watch the football at home? The Brits don’t really need a reason to visit the On Trade, but the Euro’s will provide a strong pull for even the lightest of drinkers to get together and experience that great pub atmosphere. However, for those that are looking to support from home, multipacks of cider are proving to be great value for those special occasions. Consumers are finding two of Westons multipacks especially appealing… the Stowford Press 10 x 440ml can pack has grown 34.4% in the past year, against a category that’s growing 4.4%. In a similar position, in crafted cider, is the Henry Westons 500ml x 6 pack, which is growing at an impressive 41.6% year on year, and is now a top 25 cider sku. As someone who was part of the original 1664 Blanc launch team in the early 2000s I had to share this phenomenal piece of brand activation. Kudos to Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company 👏👏👏 🚀 My No 1 Golden Rule of Marketing: Invest at the point of purchase for maximum ROI. You get a huge sampling opportunity to recruit new consumers and drive sales but most importantly you create brand advocates who keep selling for you long after the activation ends. 💡💰 #SuperbWork #BrandActivation #MarketingStrategy Remember, it’s not just about the visibility of the product—it’s about the lasting impact you create 🙌

Our first EBar Beerwall® made its debut at Millwall Football Club's The Den last October - and as the new football season gets underway we have a pipeline of Beerwall installations planned for football stadia, arenas and racecourses up and down the country. The EBar Beerwall can be configured to include as many individual EBar units as are required, with the most common configurations using between 1 and 6 units. And Beerwall only requires 1.5 metres of back-of-house space to hold kegs and coolers, or less than that if combined with a Tankbeer® system. This small footprint means that we have been able to convert clients' dead space (such as unused kiosks and even cleaning cupboards) into productive bars capable of serving up to 200 pints per hour per metre of frontage. This additional capacity helps venues bust queues at peak times, relieving pressure on manned bars and delighting fans who don't want to miss the action. Speak to us about a commercial assessment for mobile EBars or Beerwall at your venue. #LoveEBar #Beerwall #PerfectPints #PerfectPour #FastestPour #EBarAutomation #BarTech ----------- You can follow EBar and be first to hear our news and events. And, if you want to speak with our sales team, see the link in the comments below.

CEO at Captivate. Commercial group Chair at Alliance of Independent Agencies. Marketing Week Mini MBA
One of my favourite things is when a "they'll never go for this" idea comes off. After a year of looking at very specific agencyland topics I wanted to do something different with the Alliance of Independent Agencies commercial group* and they let me. Looking outwards, what can agency leaders learn from their counterparts in other people-based industries? Say a restaurant group; a record label or as is the case in this first session... a football club. Expect new approaches to solving familiar challenges. Sign up below #agencylife #footballbusiness #ceo *That or it's the most convoluted approach to sourcing discounts on dining, tunes and tickets ever - you decide.

It's Fieldays week! If you can squeeze in the time, then I encourage you all to visit. I have a deep connection (past Board member, Innovations judge - and more...). But regardless of the past, I get such a kick out visiting each year. First, seeing this years' innovations - the gift that keeps growing (puns always intended). Clever people and technology adding value to NZInc. As a patent attorney it is particularly gratifying to see the commercial version of what you first came across as a raw concept, and as an IP strategist, it is such a pleasure to see how inventors and companies position themselves. Next, I am reminded how we are all interconnected in the Agritech space and how it underpins NZ's economic fabric. We all depend upon and support each other. Last - mussel fritters! Need I say more... See you there.
