Be the change you wish to see. In a dark world there’s always room for light.

They say the only constant is change. When I joined Gateway (formally HASA) we hadnt changed our name or brand in decades. It’s been almost 3 years since my first day and I’m just as excited now walking in to work as I was on my first day. From the expansion of our Gateway School and Interpreting Services, growth in our Audiology and Speech Pathology clinic, the change is staggering. Our strategic partnerships in our community of Baltimore, the migration of our IT platform to a cloud based server, the change was everywhere… Except our name. We are now Gateway Maryland, but our mission hasn’t changed. Creating a world where we can all be understood. I’m proud to work alongside Dana Reinhardt who fearlessly leads our educational program at Gateway School. Dave Coyne who champions for Baltimore’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing community by leading Gateway Interpreting Services. Our COO Emilie Aguilar who I partner with to run Gateway Clinical Services to provide Speech and Audiology therapy to our most deserving populations. All of this under the vision of our President and CEO Erin Lamb who has worked tirelessly to create the change you see today. I’m proud to say “I Work at gateway maryland.” Even moreso, I’m honored to work among these amazing people.
