Despite so much more conversation about check fraud, it doesn't look like the problem is going anywhere. Banks have to go beyond traditional detection techniques like imaging. Photoshop is so commonplace that it if you're relying purely on the check image to detect fraud, you're not really making a lot of progress. It is absolutely crucial to look at behavioral patterns beyond the check.
