We are proud to be one of the Polish institutions that has a long-standing scientific cooperation with the UK, holding a strategic partnership with University's College London UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, and collaborating with Moorfields Eye Hospital, London to advance Eye Health. The interdisciplinary partnership between UCL, the Institute of Physical Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences, and ICTER (International Centre for Translational Eye Research) is a testament to the growing momentum and bilateral opportunities, including startup options, identified in the "PUSH - Polish-UK Science Horizons" report by the British Embassy Warsaw, Polonium Foundation and Science & Innovation network (SIN): "Polish-UK relations in terms of collaboration on science and technology evolved over the years. While at the beginning, the UK was seen more as a mentor and adviser to the Polish emerging markets, now Poland is seen as a partner in some strategic areas. (...) Poland distinguishes itself by presenting not only a highly skilled and economically robust workforce but also a dynamic startup ecosystem. It stands as a frontrunner in the field of IT and is increasingly recognised as an emerging market in cutting-edge biotech sectors, including bioinformatics and advanced therapies. These domains serve to enrich and foster collaborations between Poland and the UK." #ICTER_PL #IPC_PAS #STEM #StrategicPartnership #Poland #UK
Together with the Science & Innovation Network (SIN) in Poland and the British Embassy Warsaw, Polonium Foundation is happy to announce the publication of the PUSH - Polish-UK Science Horizons report presenting data on the past, current, and future UK-Polish research & innovation relationship. We have identified key challenges in creating new innovative outputs and set a list of recommendations to increase the chances of bilateral cooperation. https://lnkd.in/eyBFshVv Thank you for participating in discussions Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, Ministry of Science and Higher Education,Innovate UK, UK Research and Innovation, NCBR+ Sp. z o.o., NAWA - Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange, NCN National Science Centre, The Royal Society, The British Academy, Universities UK, IDEAS NCBR, The Alan Turing Institute, FNP Foundation for Polish Science, Polish Academy of Sciences and Akademia Młodych Uczonych Polska Akademia Nauk!

Full of ideas and a renewed sense of purpose. 💪 Last Thursday and Friday (16th and 17th), we held our General Assembly meeting at the University of Naples Federico II. We talked about our past and future work for Algae4IBD while surrounded by a beautiful library. We took the chance to learn about the group of algae identified to have anti-inflammatory and prebiotic activity in the high-throughput in vitro screenings, and we discussed the next steps toward the in vivo and ex vivo tests. The takeaway? We were pleased to see the progress we have already made and are now eager to take on the plentiful tasks of the months ahead. There is still a lot of work, but we are determined to realise our goal: finding new solutions for inflammation, pain, and IBD. A big thank you to our Italian partners, Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, ENCO Engineering and Consulting srl, and eLoop for creating such a vibrant atmosphere for discussions and exchange. Not only did we enjoy a meeting amid shelves filled with books, but we also explored the university’s museum and walked on an excavated Roman street lying beneath the surface of Naples.

Building the world’s first High School for the Artificial Intelligence Era - It’s already super amazing 😻- You should talk to our students, they will fascinate you with their amazing learning & delivering skills !
Thank you for your interest in Rehan School, my name is Rehan Allahwala, and I have been an entrepreneur most of my life, I have done over 150 businesses in 7 plus countries and failed in most of them, thus I claim to have a Ph.D. in failure. What I have learned is to keep trying and not be afraid of failure. Today humanity knows how to create Doctors, Engineers, Swimmers, and Cricketers, but we do not know how to create world-class leaders who bring change like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Edison, and Obama. The most important work in the world, we leave it to CHANCE and we do not have a process to create the next Steve jobs. We choose not to give a car to someone without training and license, we train people for years to become an accountant, a lawyer, and a doctor, but for a world leader, we leave it to chance, so NO MORE. I think there must be a way to make this happen, and we should not leave it to Chance or ACCIDENT for it to happen, and I Have set out to find, create, and implement a process so we can create a system that can help us MAKE the next Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. This is what this School is made for, It is an experimental school that will keep trying to make and find ways to create amazing future leaders in the world, who can fix the things that are broken around us that need desperate fixing. The world has amazing tools today like the Internet, AI, Computers, VR, and Mobiles, and the education system is slow to adopt these changes, We at Rehan School aim to use all these tools, use the First principal method, and re-engineer the education system. I aim to educate and create 1000 future leaders from my school, under my direct supervision, so that these students and future leaders can go out there, and make a better world for everyone, I am to create a Nobel laureate, Guinness World record holders, and multi-millionaires, who will be trained in doing so. If you think you want your child to become the next future leader in business and in the world of issues who will impact 10 million + Human beings positively, this is the school for you, but if you want a regular Joe with good numbers this is not the school for your child. I thank you for visiting us and allowing me to tell you my vision of how we can finally take care of the leadership failure in our countries and the world. Rehan Allahwala Founder, Rehan School

Self report is under utilized in the care of those with complex conditions, as well as in the support of their care partners. Assessments, however, need to be sufficiently comprehensive, coordinated with one another, and actionable. The #interRAI SCaN - survey of caregiver needs - identifies important health and social needs of caregivers supporting persons with complex needs. A powerful 1-2 punch with the #interRAI Check Up in supporting primary and specialized geriatric care, allowing for more integrated and effective person centered care.
What a week! Thank you to everyone who participated in an intense workshop for interRAI-SCaN at Háskóli Íslands - University of Iceland this week. It was an honour to host you all. Melissa Ziraldo Marchewka, Brittany Kroetsch, Chantelle Mensink, Connie S., Raquel Betini, John Hirdes, Brant Fries, George Heckman, Wai Chong, Ng and more 😊

Dear LinkedIn connections, are you willing to help Tim and to learn more about the (perceived) importance of sustainability aspects of coffee cups? I would not ask for support from my network if it wasn’t for this interesting research, done by a talented M.Sc. student at Tilburg University. You can help Tim by 1) filling out the survey yourselves (5 mins) and 2) forwarding to your network members and ask them to do the same. Tim is aiming for >1000 respondents to develop a solid data set to conduct insights from. This is a long shot but achievable with your help! Thanks! Jack
⭐️ Help me create an excellent thesis research by sharing your valuable insights on coffee preferences! ⭐️ Dear LinkedIn Network, As part of my MSc in Marketing Management at Tilburg University, I'm conducting research on consumer preferences within the coffee market. I'm reaching out to gather insights from fellow coffee consumers like you. By sparing not more than five minutes of your time to complete my survey, you'll be contributing to my academic journey. Join me in the process of gathering valuable insights by clicking on the link below: https://lnkd.in/e6FHVZTk Thank you sincerely for your time and contribution.

📚 Thank you to all the students and colleagues in this journey called: Skills for Information Age: Society 🖥 🖲 Leveraging work in Digital Innovation in Quality, Governance, and Standards I'd like to bring the significance of utilising international collaboration 👯 , the importance of building trust through evidence-based practice, and establishing clear indicators for social impact and measurement of digital interventions within the domains of education, health, and justice. 🌸 1. International Collaboration with Scientists & Artists 🎨 : Engaging with experts from different countries can provide diverse perspectives and solutions to complex problems. 🌹 2. Building Trust through Evidence-Based Practice: Trust is the foundation upon which successful collaborations and professional relationships are built. To foster trust in our work and ideas, prioritize evidence-based practice. When sharing information or insights on with supporting/credible sources and research. Be transparent about your methodologies and ensure that your content is rooted in empirical evidence. Trust is earned through consistency, credibility, and the quality of your contributions. 🌷 3. Clear Indicators for Social Impact: As scholars and future leaders in your respective fields, it's crucial to assess the social impact of our work rigorously. Identify clear indicators that can measure the effectiveness and reach of your digital interventions. 🌼 4. Measurement of Digital Interventions: Digital interventions have the potential to drive positive change in various domains, including education, health, and justice using AI. However, their success must be measured effectively with governance and management processes . Our network 🌺 is a powerful tool to connect, communicate, and make a positive impact in our fields around the world . By focusing on evidence-based practice, establishing trust through credible content, and measuring the social impact of your digital interventions, we are well-equipped to contribute significantly to quality, governance, and standards in education, health, and justice. Looking forward for a rest until next year as an university staff and cybersecuirty practicioner at RMIT 🌻 .

When I retired from Alliance university in 2022 ( after 52 years of Industry and Academic experience), little did I imagine that I would be starting a Channel to broadcast educational videos. But eventually when I did plan for one, I promised myself that the channel will never deal in the following: 1. Politics: No political discussions, No canvassing for any party. 2. Religion: No religious discourses, comments about any religion. 3. Obscenity : not a tinge of inappropriate or vulgar sentences, pictures or videos. My channel would spread genuine information relating to education on various topics which would help the Student/ Academic. community, Professionals and Entrepreneurs. I thought with my students/academic colleagues and friends in various professions, the task would be easier. While a meagre fraction of my students , colleagues and friends supported the channel, many perhaps thought it lacked entertainment value and stayed away from viewing and subscribing. Undeterred I continue my work of bringing new information, Challenging old concepts and introducing workable ones by fully exploiting all available AI tools. I look forward for support from the students I have taught for over twenty years and all my professional colleagues and students from other parts of India and outside India. Will You?
