High-level meetings have been taking place in Samoa over the past week and a half, with a focus on addressing global triple threats. It's heartening to see strong political positions being stated by leaders from across the Pacific. As Minister Silk from RMI stated, "this is our last best chance" to address the terrible impacts already affecting us. Let's hope these discussions lead to positive outcomes for our environment and communities worldwide. #climatechange #biodiversity #pollution #leadership #environment

This Earth Day I am continuing to reflect on the importance of education as we work to respond to the ever-intensifying climate and environmental crisis. Five years ago, I joined this movement following a transformative environmental leadership program, showing me the importance of education. Education is incredibly powerful and needed now more than ever. I dream of a world where every young person grows up understanding environmental problems, solutions, and ways to take action. Today and every day, let's keep working towards such a future. On this Indigenous Peoples' Day, let us pause to acknowledge the foundational contributions of Indigenous communities worldwide. Their deep-rooted wisdom, traditions, and practices have shaped many sectors, from sustainable business practices and holistic health to leadership models and environmental stewardship. In the professional world, it's essential to remember and integrate the diverse perspectives that indigenous communities bring to the table. Today serves as a reminder always to seek understanding, collaboration, and respect for the wealth of knowledge and experience they offer. #IndigenousPeoplesDay #DiversityInBusiness

I translate complex ideas and research into actionable implementation plans. Talking about #marketing #socialchange #analysis #strategy #implementation
#Marketing cod liver oil in an unheated shack while the opposition is #marketing champagne and caviar on a yacht in the Mediterranean is a losing proposition. I get it, but it's trying to hold back a tsunami wave with a bucket and spade if we don't address private jet and yacht use. Yes, everyone should be doing something, and yes, every action adds up, but focusing on the relatively small group of big offenders will have a large impact. #Market positive change and #market small actions that have a big impact. (dramatically reducing, if not eliminating, private plane and mega-yacht usage). Most of all #market bringing all activists together to address the wealth inequality that is fueling, literally and figuratively, the #climatecrisis.
A plea to my fellow environmentalists – please stop showing off your exotic holidays and high-carbon activities on social media! We are social animals and look to others for cues as to how to think and behave. When we say ‘everything must change’ and ‘high carbon lifestyles must end’, but then not only partake in them ourselves but advertise it, we send a very clear signal that the things we say can’t be that important. “If even my environmentalist friends won’t change their behaviour, how important can this ‘crisis’ really be?” Yes we do a lot already. But this is an emergency and we must show leadership.
