Next up: Insurance Asset Management – The Risk/Reward Balance Our investment panel discussed the tough transition for insurers through last year’s rate hikes. Insurers are looking to lock in higher rates through longer duration holdings but our panel also warned that carriers were over-leveraged to fixed income holdings in 2022 so must balance their approach. They also discussed how higher rates are making it harder for lower-yielding green impact investments to stand out but that ESG imperatives mean insurers must do more on this front.
