Germany recently announced plans to enact historic changes to their film and TV sector, including the implementation of a TV and streaming investment obligation with a rights sharing requirement. 🇩🇪 Under the new investment obligation, broadcasters and streamers will be required to invest 20% of sales generated in the country back into European productions, 70% of which should be German language, with mandatory retention of rights for producers.
