Developing skills such as #criticalthinking, ability to #focus, #slowdown and #innovate, #communicate #influence and #collaborate are the need of the hour. But tactical seminars and or content libraries won't achieve this effectively. For these skills to be #trained in ways that STICK requires linking the skill being taught to the long memories of the learners...over a period of time... it can be done and at #scale.

Last week, I have the greatest pleasure to share my thoughts on the potential applications of Gen-AI (e.g., ChatGPT) on HR daily activities with an exciting panel and super engaging audiences, thanks to the invitation from the Data Science Centre (DSC) UvA / AUAS Library and Amsterdam AI. Wonderful organizations, amazing vibes, and inspirational discussions! I discussed three levels of potential applications of Gen-AI in HR practices, which I termed the SIA or Synergies - Insights - Automations framework. The two more basic levels—namely, automations (using Gen-AI to perform repetitive or "bullsh*t" tasks) and insights (using Gen-AI to gain novel insights following well-defined methodologies and routines)—are already widely applied and have proven to be highly beneficial to HR. However, the highest level of applications, i.e., synergies (optimally matching existing methodologies and routines to unstructured, strategic questions), has a large potential to revolutionize different areas of HR practices (e.g., selection, training, and talent management) but is scarcely considered or implemented.
