We can't ignore the #industrial sector. Heavy industry accounts for nearly 1/3 of all U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, and the sector's emissions are some of the hardest to abate. This is why I am excited to see the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) put more than $6 billion towards #decarbonization of the industrial sector.

Following on from my #renewables post yesterday that focussed more on #solar, I came across this #YouTube essay that explores the (tentative) plans to expand wind power generation through the North Sea and around the British Isles. Given that much of the North Sea is shallow (prehistoric Doggerland), wind is persistent, and #wind technology is well advanced, this all looks doable. It is time to focus on what we can do, rather than what we can't.
