Our three floaters and turbines proved once again the strength of their world-class engineering, the power of floating technology, and its readiness to be applied at a commercial scale level in all geographies. Hooray, the world´s first large-scale offshore wind farm has now turned 20! When Horns Rev 1 was built by the west coast of Denmark in 2002-03, offshore wind was quite an experimental and small industry. Since then a lot has happened and today offshore wind is a strong force in enabling fossil freedom - not least since Horns Rev 1 paved the way as a showcase for offshore wind.
