Jet Fuel Available!! As we navigate through 2024, the jet fuel market continues to experience dynamic shifts influenced by global economic trends, geopolitical events, and the ongoing recovery of the aviation sector. Here’s a snapshot of the current market landscape: Market Overview: The demand for jet fuel has shown a steady increase as international travel rebounds post-pandemic. However, the market is facing challenges due to fluctuating crude oil prices, supply chain disruptions, and varying regional production capacities. Availability: Jet fuel availability remains relatively stable but is subject to regional disparities. Major producers like the Middle East and North America have maintained robust supplies, while certain regions face tighter availability due to logistical constraints and refinery outages. Pricing Trend: Jet fuel prices have seen a volatile trend recently. As of mid-2024, prices are influenced by: - Crude Oil Prices: Ongoing volatility in crude oil prices directly impacts jet fuel costs. - Supply Chain Issues: Disruptions in global supply chains, including refinery operations and shipping logistics, add to price fluctuations. - Geopolitical Factors: Political tensions in key oil-producing regions contribute to market instability. - Demand Fluctuations: Seasonal travel peaks and economic conditions affect demand and, consequently, pricing. Despite these fluctuations, there is cautious optimism for price stabilization as the industry adapts to the new normal. Main Specifications Globally: Jet fuel specifications are critical for ensuring safety and efficiency in aviation operations. The primary specifications include: - Jet A: Predominantly used in the United States, characterized by a flashpoint minimum of 38°C and a freeze point maximum of -40°C. - Jet A-1: The most widely used jet fuel globally, with a flashpoint minimum of 38°C and a freeze point maximum of -47°C, offering better cold weather performance. - TS-1: Used mainly in Russia and the CIS countries, known for a lower flashpoint of 28°C and a freeze point maximum of -50°C. Each specification is tailored to meet regional climatic conditions and operational requirements, ensuring optimal performance of aircraft engines. As we move forward, continuous monitoring of market trends and strategic planning are essential for stakeholders in the aviation industry to navigate the complexities of the jet fuel market effectively. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), while air traffic has fully recovered, the demand for jet fuel is growing more slowly than anticipated. This phenomenon is largely due to significant advancements in aircraft fleet efficiency, which have improved by about 10% compared to 2019. Despite the overall recovery in air travel, particularly with U.S. and European flight activity hitting new highs and China operating at 105.3% of 2019 levels, global jet fuel consumption is projected to increase only marginally this year. The IEA forecasts a modest rise of 230,000 barrels per day, totaling 7.4 million barrels per day. This gap between travel recovery and fuel consumption highlights a critical shift in the aviation industry towards more fuel-efficient technologies. It raises pivotal questions about the future peak of fossil fuel demand and the role of efficiency in shaping energy markets. #Aviation #Sustainability #EnergyEfficiency #JetFuelDemand #GlobalTravel https://lnkd.in/gKAVwE2K

This is the last gasp of the fossil fuel industry. As I told The New York Times this week, Big Oil has read the writing on the wall. They know that their days are limited. And they’re doing everything they can to make sure they are the last barrel sold. https://lnkd.in/gRs9zw7w

Jet fuel consumption is still lower than it was pre-pandemic. Jet fuel consumption is around 1.65 million barrels per day, which is 5% lower than pre-pandemic. It dropped to 1.08 million barrels per day during COVID-19 and has slowly increased for the past few years. Why do you think it is still below the numbers for 2019? What needs to happen to get there? Lastly, how much longer until it surpasses 2019 and reaches new highs? #avaition #jetfuel #jet #privatejet #economy

I can't believe I'm sharing an Alex Epstein post, but he's right about this. This is why we need the most reliable power plants available (solar + storage) going up on every naked roof as soon as possible. And they are by far the fastest to deploy minus the needless red tape storageless solar has, justifiably due to its intermittency, created. There isn't a "solar industry" there is an extreme national need to guard the grid. And everyone who wants to serve their nation can do something about it by choosing to install their own power plants and becoming Grid Guardians. P.S. It all needs to be built in America as soon as possible, energy security is too important to outsource anywhere we can't get tanks to in a day. #solarplusstorage #gridguardians #solar #energysecurity #bess #vpp #derms #v2g #smartgrid #loadmanagement #americanenergydominance
“Premature shutdowns of reliable fossil fuel plants without sufficient reliable replacements have plunged our grid into crisis nationwide. Most of North America is at elevated/high risk of electricity shortfalls between 2024-2028.” https://lnkd.in/gbU6pVHu
