Dear Recruiters, I appreciate the hard work and dedication you put into finding the right candidates for your organizations. I would like to share some thoughts from the perspective of job-seekers, especially freshers, who are eager to contribute and grow. Many freshers possess great potential and relevant skills, even if they lack extensive work experience. It would be incredibly valuable if the recruitment process could consider these candidates more holistically. Providing feedback on applications, even when they are not successful, can be a tremendous help for candidates looking to improve and align themselves with industry standards. I've noticed that sometimes the emphasis on educational backgrounds can overshadow the practical skills and experiences that candidates bring. Balancing "skills over education" in the selection process could open up opportunities for many deserving candidates. With the advancements in recruitment technology, there's a wonderful opportunity to make the process more inclusive and fair, reducing the element of "luck" and giving every candidate a fair chance based on their potential and abilities. ✨Good morning and happy Wednesday! ✨Less than two years ago, I started my LinkedIn journey. Today, I have over 3,400 followers and nearly 2,000 connections. To me, that's incredible progress. When I began searching for a job, I was driven by a sense of desperation, but I’ve since found my way into a healthcare career. Along the way, I discovered something important about myself: I am more than just my job title. ✨Recently, someone reminded me, “You are more than your job,” and it resonated deeply. I realized that the value I bring extends far beyond what's listed on my resume. I offer support to others, even when I may not always have it for myself. LinkedIn has become less about what I receive and more about the value I can give to others, and that lights me up. ✨In under two years, I’ve found a passion for celebrating, uplifting, and encouraging others, despite the challenges I face. This passion has given me a sense of purpose and is what will ultimately shape my future. ✨One of my goals is to do speaking engagements and, one day, share my story. It’s a big dream, but it’s also within reach. ✨See the possibilities, not the failures, and put yourself out there. You’ll build beautiful friendships and connections along the way. ✨Happy hump day! In the middle of one of the craziest job search climates in recent memory, it is easy to get frustrated, down, and despondent. After sending out hundreds of applications with few interviews and no offers, it can get lonely and, to be honest, a bit scary. So, instead of focusing on the negative, I am going to take the opportunity to flip the switch and focus on the positive. Gratitude will be my driver as there is still so much to be grateful for. Please feel free to add to my list or share your thoughts. This week I will focus on Freedom. It is something often taken for granted, forgotten about, or unappreciated until it is no longer ours; something that many around the world know all too well. Reflecting on the journey of this country and the brave men and women who purchased and continue to purchase our freedom for us, I am eternally grateful. Because of your sacrifices, I can make the following statements: Even though I am in the middle of a job search... • I am free to speak my mind and express my thoughts and feelings, including the creation of this post. • I am free to choose my own path, no matter where it will lead me. • I am free to create and recreate myself again and again as I embark on new learning journeys. • I am free to be happy, healthy, and at peace. • I am free to reach out and connect with anyone to share experiences, passions, or ideas. • I am free to reach out to friends and loved ones to share the free but very limited gift of time. • I am free to be me.

That was completely unexpected. I didn’t foresee last week’s post to take off like it did, but I’m grateful because it did a few things for me. 1️⃣ It reminded me that I am not alone on my current journey. Losing your job unexpectedly sucks, and it’s easy to feel like others won’t understand, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. I’m thankful for the messages of encouragement from others who have been in my shoes or are currently. 2️⃣ I was also reminded of the strong connections I’ve already made through this platform. I’ve made a few dear friends that I connect with away from here, and their support means everything. Special shout out to Ana Shah for her consistency, inner-cheerleader, and humor right when it’s needed. 3️⃣ I expanded my network by a few hundred, which is awesome for a people-person like me. All from diverse professional and personal backgrounds, and I’ve already been able to chat with a few about our experiences and where to go from here. 4️⃣ I’ve learned that some folks think taking time to feel your feelings and acknowledge where you’re at is unnecessary when you’re out of work. Not sure how skipping over processing such a huge life change is productive to the job search, but we cry over here so we can keep moving along. 5️⃣ The feedback helped me do some introspection and realize that sometimes things happen to lead you in another direction. I’m not exactly sure where that is for me right now, but I do have a few ideas and am working diligently to fully flesh them out. Onward we go.

Feeling frustrated about what you don't have, Let's flip that script. I used to chase the next goal or acquisition constantly. I always thought about what I hadn't achieved or simply hadn't gotten done. Accomplishing 19 of the 20 things never felt good. The 1 undone bothered me. Sound familiar? But then, something clicked. I paused and took a hard look at what I already had. And it was a game-changer. Appreciating your accomplishments isn't just fluffy feel-good. It has real, tangible benefits. Here's what I learned: → You get to be PRESENT. Instead of worrying about the future, you focus on now. → You APPRECIATE others. When you appreciate your team, you build more prosperous relationships. → You gain PERSPECTIVE. Seeing the bigger picture is easier when you're not stuck on what’s missing. → You become more RESILIENT. Gratitude builds mental toughness. So how can you start?
