We are thrilled to announce that Enveda has successfully helped our partner universities secure a €2.6M @Horizon Europe grant from the European Commission to launch a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network for 10 talented PhD students! ⭐ Our ModBioTerp initiative will focus on groundbreaking research in enzyme modeling and biochemistry. The network will provide comprehensive training in the rapidly evolving fields of biochemistry, AI-guided enzyme modeling, laboratory-directed evolution, and synthetic biology. At Enveda, we are particularly excited to support and host one of these brilliant PhD students next summer, supervised by leading experts in the field: Tomáš Pluskal from IOCB Prague Aalt-Jan van Dijk from the University of Amsterdam Christoph A. Krettler 🌱, Daniel Domingo-Fernández and Tobias Kind from Enveda. The aim is to develop deep learning models to predict reaction substrates and products from the amino acid sequences of terpene synthases, utilizing cutting-edge transformer neural networks. 🌿 💡 We are eager to embark on this journey and collaborate with these distinguished experts to advance our understanding of synthetic biology, ultimately driving innovation in biotechnological applications. Enveda Biosciences welcomed 150 attendees last week at our open house, including many from local biotech companies. Emily Martini, Vice President of Partnerships at the Colorado BioScience Association, kicked off our event and introduced our CEO Viswa Colluru, PhD, who shared Enveda's inspiring journey and future direction. This week, members of our drug discovery team will be at the American Society of Mass Spectrometry meeting unveiling some of our recent advances in decoding the chemical basis of life on planet Earth. At Enveda, we define "Global Health" as encompassing both human and planetary health, and so we are thrilled to have our work featured in this Reuters series as part of the Global Health Summit in Geneva, Switzerland. As our founder Viswa Colluru, PhD, PhD says, "Life is chemistry," and this video describes how and why we are creating novel technologies to turn life's chemistry into impactful medicines for patients in need. We also discuss our efforts working to protect global biodiversity in concert with countries around the world through beneficiary agreements.
