#Insights | Mumbaikars, are you facing traffic delays while reaching your destinations? Feeling suffocated by the continuous construction taking place in installments? We have detailed infrastructure projects in Mumbai that show the gap between promises and reality in urban planning. The Vikhroli flyover, initiated in 2015 and due to be completed in 2018, is only 50% complete with no new deadline set. The Diva East-West corridor, started in 2017 with an 18-month deadline, has been delayed due to utility issues. The Mrunaltai Gore flyover extension, announced in 2018 and commenced in February 2023, is underway with no specified completion date. Lastly, the extension of Thakurli Bridge, planned 24 years ago, is still incomplete because of land acquisition and integration hurdles. #RealtyNXT #Mumbai #InfrastructureProjects #DivaEastWestCorridor #MrunaltaiGoreFlyover #ThakurliBridge #Vikhroli #BMC #KDMC #TMC #TrafficDelays #Construction

After 12 years of anticipation, Mumbai's Coastal Road Project (MCRP) is set for partial inauguration. The south-bound segment, connecting Worli to Marine Drive, will open on weekdays from 8 am to 8 pm, with 15% of work remaining. Costing Rs 13,983 crore, the MCRP includes bridges and tunnels to alleviate traffic. Interchanges at Haji Ali, Worli, and Amarsons Garden will initially have one accessible arm with a 40 kmph speed limit, while the undersea tunnels have a speed limit of 60 kmph and most of the coastal corridors allow speeds of up to 80 kmph. As commuters adapt to the new interchanges, civic authorities expect travel speeds to be slower initially, but anticipate a notable decrease in travel time as the project advances. #MumbaiCoastalRoad #CoastalRoadProject #MCRPInauguration #TrafficSolution #InfrastructureDevelopment #WorliToMarineDrive #TravelEase #UrbanTransport #CityDevelopment #TrafficManagement #InfrastructureProgress #MumbaiDevelopment #ConnectivityImprovement
