Eric Evans’ Post

A message of optimism and hope for my fellow entrepreneurs in the lead generation industry in light of the recent FCC rulings. The end is not here! I only see changes for the better. Don’t let all the messages of doom and gloom shatter your spirit, most of the doomsayers are just selling a solution, because fear sells. What’s changing are the things that people really don’t like about the lead generation industry…the selling of aged leads and “implicit” opt ins with large numbers of “marketing partners.” These were the business practices that drove consumers nuts and gave this industry a bad name, so good riddance. If your company is creating a good consumer experience, where users know WHAT they are signing up for, and they know WHO is going to call or text them after, you’re going to be fine! I’ve already had dozens of conversations with my peers and I’m thoroughly impressed at how nimble (one of core values!), innovative, and collaborative the small business owners and entrepreneurs in this industry are. So many of us started with an idea, a credit card, and some chutzpah, and have bootstrapped 7, 8, and even some 9 figure companies in the face of big ad tech companies who have never wanted us to take any market share and succeed. We keep succeeding and we’ll continue to succeed. I’m proud of my teams, what we’ve accomplished, and the roadmap we have for next year. I’ve built a camel not a unicorn and we are going to keep on growing and thriving as we have all these years. At HyperTarget Marketing, we’ve already adapted and made changes to comply with the new regulations, long before this weeks ruling made them official. If you’re looking for high quality compliant clicks, calls, and leads, we’re here to help your business grow. At Pipes.AI, we have a best in class AI and human hybrid solution to follow up on your customers, prospects, and leads, built from experience getting our hands dirty and doing it ourselves at HyperTarget. If you didn’t see the news, we won the “best implementation of AI” award year at the Affy Expo. Keyword “implementation,” because our solution is not an AI novelty toy, its field tested for growing businesses and it works! Any entrepreneur worth his or her salt has been readying for this. Thanks to the out-front leadership of the likes of The Troutman Firm and LeadGen World, none of us are going to be caught flat footed. We had three distinct 2024 budget forecasts based upon one of three likely FCC outcomes. We are forecasting are best year of growth ever in 2024, some of which is due to new opportunities brought on by the ruling. Squeeze a balloon on one side, and it bulges on the other side. That bulge is the new opportunity. And another, “ Every battle is won before it is fought”

Love this post Cookie 🍪… I think the biggest thing here is the “experience” part. If you’re treating your leads and customers as good as you’d like to be treated, then all of these changes won’t affect you too much. Same goes for TCPA and more. Issues always come when you don’t treat these leads as humans, which is what they are.

Spot on. The sad part is all the talk I’m hearing from companies already trying to devise tactics to circumvent the new rules. It’s about time these changes went into place and a data record was treated like it is… a real person. Keep riding that camel… it’s going places 😂

Well put Eric Evans. There are technology solutions for this and the people who have been working to STAY compliant for the last few years shouldn't be living in fear. Long-term, this is a good thing for end-buyers and the consumers themselves.

Well said! In my view, these changes will clean up the space from bad actors and strengthen relations and partnerships among good ones.
