CFOs are responsible for managing the financial aspects of the business, while CEOs are responsible for the overall success of the business.   Various reports indicate that the percentage of sitting CEOs who have transitioned directly from a CFO position is on the rise.   To bridge the gap between CFO and CEO, it’s important to develop new ways of thinking and expand your comfort zone. This can involve rotating through roles with operational experience, but it’s not the only way. Effective preparation for the CEO role requires a more personal and nuanced approach.   The key to bridging the gap between CFO and CEO is to develop a deep understanding of the business and its operations. This requires a willingness to learn and a commitment to continuous improvement.
